Alice or Bella? (Could be Isabella)

I don’t need to hear if you don’t like either, would just like to know which one people like more!

Bella is pretty common but she’s been Bella since we found out we were having a girl, now Alice is in the mix it’s thrown me off haha!

Isabella Mae/May - gorgeous!
We have one in our family who goes by Izzy. Just as beautiful as her name

BonBon411 · 25/11/2019 02:22

Prefer Isabella

Fairybobbin · 25/11/2019 03:31

Bella May

Stuffedcrust55 · 25/11/2019 03:42

My daughter is isobel and I would never use that name if I had known how many Isobel, Isabele, Isabellas there are. 3 in her class at nursery, 2 in her class at school, 2 in her class at secondary. And her best friend who lives down the road who we met when she was a few years old. I'd definitely go for something different if I had my time again. Interestingly I never saw many Isobels before I had her but I guess they were there I just didnt notice them.

Alice is nicer, but I think you should definitely use Isabella as a middle name. If you've been calling her that then you may regret not including it. Another vote to not use May, and especially not Mae!

Whattodoabout · 25/11/2019 12:01

Alice.

Flymetothestars · 25/11/2019 16:28

@Stuffedcrust55 did you ever think of changing her name? Does she like it?

Both names Isabelle and Isabella etc have been falling in numbers every year since 2010 so it’s got nowhere near the numbers it used to have. It’s still popular of course but Isabelle is about to fall outside top 30 now and the numbers have practically halved annually since 2010

I like both names @Samantha1712xx - have we helped you narrow it down at all

lostandconfused2 · 25/11/2019 16:41

I love the name Bella, it was one of my top names for if I had a girl but I'm having a boy. But I did have a teacher called Mrs Bellamy and now that's what I think when you said Bella Mae haha. Isabella Mae sounds nice.

Dyra · 25/11/2019 17:12

Alice all the way!

I'd be more inclined to go for Isabella over Bella if that is your preference. I also think it's nice as a middle name.

AdelaideK · 25/11/2019 17:14

Alice but not May as a middle name. It's so overused.

passthetea · 25/11/2019 17:18

Isabella

TiceCream · 25/11/2019 17:22

I like Bella. You could choose Isabella, Arabella, Christabella, or even a name that starts with Bel such as Belinda. My cousin has a daughter who just goes by Bel for short because it’s a bit more tomboyish.

Phoebebuffay13 · 25/11/2019 17:22

My daughter is Isabella, so I'm biased! But we had Alice in the mix too when deciding in a name! Either one of them is beautiful! x

Lobsterquadrille2 · 25/11/2019 20:43

I love Alice. Less keen on May/Mae as a middle name, sorry.

BathshebaKnickerStickers · 25/11/2019 22:03

We lost the most amazing and beautiful lady earlier on this year. She was the most beautiful Alice

DramaAlpaca · 25/11/2019 23:09
