Thoughts on baby boy names

Currently over due and trying to narrow down our name selection as we keep changing our minds!

Bump has been Buddy all through but i was never keen as a first name and a couple of people have named their boys Buddy this year.

Our favourites at the moment are
Issac
Otto
Edward (Eddie)

Mine is Stanley after my grandad but husband doesn't like that!

Arthur always been my fave too but now it's risen so much in popularity im not so keen as a first name

I love Otto.
I really can’t understand this Arthur obsession.

Isaac is best, then Edward.

Otto is really not good.

Otto, Isaac and Eddie are great names - you can’t go wrong with them! I don’t really want to suggest any others as you already have a great list 😊

I really like Isaac, it's a strong, classic name. I don't really think you can go wrong and Isaac Arthur sounds very handsome

I'm not keen on Otto. There was one a few years below me when I was at school (15 years ago) and I've never taken to it. I do like Otis though which is quite similar

Edward is nice enough but I know 3 baby Edwards born this year.

If you've discounted Arthur due to popularity then I wouldn't go for Isaac, absolutely loads of them around! Great name though.

Otto is my favourite though (and was on my list for DS4).

Edward is my favourite. I'm not keen on Otto, and Isaac is already very popular.

I have an Isaac....
So of course I'm going to tell you it's a great name!
My OH chose it actually, I wasn't sure at first, but now I love it, suits him and its not an overused name, I haven't heard of many Isaacs since having him.

I like Edward best.

Edward, then Otto, and Isaac a long way behind.

Thanks all. I haven't seen Issac to be that over used but I'm not in a circle of friends with lots of little ones so could be wrong. Could be an area thing?

Love Theodore but my sister has wanted that name forever so not going to pinch it!

Seems like a mixed response so still not sure - oh well I'm sure we will know when we meet the little man! Which I'm hoping won't be too long now being 5 days over.

I vote for Isaac ❤ however im biased as i have one.
He is 8 now. although it is popular overall in the top 1000 names in England and Wales. He is the only one in his quite large primary school. So I think popularity is definitely regional.
Can also be shortened to Zac or Ike (which I think is very cute) but Husband doest like so he goes by his full name or sometimes nn Iso.

I think Otto is nice too x
