Helena

Hi everyone I really like the name Helena. I like both pronunciations Helena and Hel-lain-na, but husband only likes the second pronunciation. I'm not sure how you would spell it though.... to make it obvious how to pronounce it.
We are thinking of Helena Jasmin. Any ideas would be appreciated.

My mums name! I think it’s pretty, contemporary and cool and a bit unusual so all good !

I have a Helena pronounced Helen-a. She gets both pronunciations but easily corrected and I'm sure that works both ways. We get lots of lovely comments on her name and like all pronunciations.

@PrincessLouis thanks for the suggestion of Elena, it's a beautiful name, but I do prefer Helena... I think it sounds more timeless some how. @newdeer I had sort of forgotten about the Shakespeare connection.... I was actually Hermia in my primary school play😂 but always had a soft spot for Helena. I also studied ancient Greek history and so I like the Greek connection.... Cassandra was vetoed by my husband!
