Obvious Name Change for this as not sure their are many siblings who share those names as my two boys.

Anyway, to our delight we found out last night we are having a 3rd son!

But we havent a bloomin clue for a name.

Please can we take suggestions?

I love the name Amos but DH isn't sold on it, he likes the name Glenn but I am not sure about that one.

Wtf @Moondancer73 thats really nasty
Why say that? Ignore this person @VinnieRoy

MissMarpletheMurderer · 22/11/2019 21:56

Derek, gorgeous name. Freddie is super popular so I don't think it goes with your other names.

midsomermurderess · 23/11/2019 05:28

Yes, Derek. It's gorgeous.

VinnieRoy · 23/11/2019 06:54

Hi again everyone, thank you for all your suggestions!

So many of the names we do like we cant use because they have been reserved by other family or friends (and honestly we dont mind working around that) or we know people with those names that we dont want to be seen naming our child after them (long and complicated stories).

Thomas we love as a name but that is Roy's middle name and we plan on using Roy as this baby's middle name to honor Roy (he died). So we think it might be weird to just reverse our 2nd son's name for our 3rd?

I also LOVE Terence in Terry but DH really isn't keen on it. Probably because one of D1's toy owls is called Terence and I've given him a really weird speaking voice when I play with DS1 using the owl.

Okay I'm probably oversharing now 🤦‍♀️

I think we have decided, for now, on Edmund nn Eddie. I dont think we will share with anyone until this baby is born his name this time as we did get a lot of negativity around our other 2 names!

Yes, Derek. It's gorgeous

Have people lost their minds?

NoSauce · 23/11/2019 08:03

Not keen on Edmund but Eddie is ok.

Disfordarkchocolate · 23/11/2019 10:20

Great choice, I love Roy as a middle name. I agree about not sharing, it's amazing how rude people can be. ER, very regal initials.

FizzyGreenWater · 23/11/2019 10:40

OP I think I remember your posts from before. I am so sorry that you lost your Roy Flowers

On names - how about Roderick?

Roddy Roy!

Close in itself to Roy of course which you might have a strong opinion either way on.

Vincent, Roy, Roddy

FizzyGreenWater · 23/11/2019 10:41

I was thinking that I know a couple of really cool Roddys as we have Scottish connections, plus it has a similar feel to Terence but is maybe a little less in-your-face retro.

Leopardprintboots · 23/11/2019 10:55

I’m so sorry to hear about Roy Thomas @VinnieRoy

I agree Thomas Roy might be a bit strange for you in those circumstances but there’s no right or wrong, if you love it I’d use it. Or you just use “Thomas” as this baby’s first name and forget about using Roy as middle name as you’ve already honoured Roy with the middle name.

I love the name Eddie! That would be a great choice!! Eddie Roy is fab.

Roddy Roy also a good suggestion
