Help name Rupert & Dexter's little bro

Youngest baby due soon, and I still have no name :(

I have two sons, Rupert and Dexter. Rupert was named during pregnancy, and Dexter was a name I always wanted to use.

This time round I'm struggling and feel awful.

Any suggestions to go with his brothers names would be greatly appreciated!

I thought about Felix a few weeks back but wasn't sure because Dexter has an X in his name and Rupert doesn't. Now I've typed that out it sounds like such a stupid reason not to 😂

Also, my brother has just named his daughter Jasper! I liked the name Casper so that's off the list haha

I really like Rupert and Dexter!

annielennoxstuckinmyhead · 08/11/2019 11:44

I was fully expecting people to say how horrible their names were 😂

Dexter was originally called Raif for the first month because I couldn't go through with it. I wanted Raif to be spelt like Ralph and my ex was against it. In the end I wanted Dexter that much I changed it just before registration.

Rupert and Dexter to me seem like completely different styles of name! Rupert conjures up a soft and quiet child and Dexter seems kind of energetic bordering on aggressive. Dunno. Names like Casper and Jasper fit with Rupert to me. Dexter would seem like an outlier. You need something in the middle of the two. Felix might work but I know what you mean about the Xs.
Magnus?
Zachary?
Elliot?
Luke?
Miles?
Tristan?

annielennoxstuckinmyhead · 08/11/2019 11:48

@diddlediddle Weirdly, you've got that spot on. Rupert is the quieter one, Dexter is very energetic (currently not aggressive 😂)

I would say that Rupert and dexter are totally different names. Rupert is posh English and Dexter cool American to me! So tbh I think anything could go.

@Leopardprintboots Felix is the only one so far that's made me think "yeah I really like that..."

Can't believe I've been so useless this time round

@Debbiecurtbag they are very different. When Dexter was born I didn't think about how they would fit. I was just so desperate to use that name 😂

@annielennoxstuckinmyhead I think Felix is a great name ❤️

I don’t really think about style of name with siblings. I bet everyone that knows your Rupert and Dexter think those two names sound like a pair as they know them as siblings. If that makes sense?! It’s more about the people than the actual names x
