I really like it

annabell22 · 12/11/2019 03:26

Theres a Cole in my school, he is from Kenya. I have no idea if it is a popular name there!

Toddlerteaplease · 12/11/2019 03:36

Can't stand Cole.

dreichwinter · 12/11/2019 03:41

Cole seems to fit into a similar name grouping to Harrison.

I personally prefer Casper which seems to have feel closer to Robin.

LostInTheColonies · 12/11/2019 03:44

Old King Cole born very close to Xmas ?!

Mind you, Caspar is a bit seasonal as well 🤴

Much prefer Caspar :)

TillyTheTiger · 12/11/2019 07:29

I think of it as a very American name, it makes me think of Cole from The Affair (not sure if that's a good or bad thing). I think it goes well with Harrison.

Timetobegood · 12/11/2019 07:33

Cole is ok. I know one. Not keen on Casper although I know a Kaspar which I prefer.

Ugzbugz · 12/11/2019 07:33

Dont like either, how are you actually supposed to pronounce Cole, does anyone actually say the L in Cole? Whenever I here It, it's never pronounced.....

katewhinesalot · 12/11/2019 07:35

Love it. I don't even mind cody too.

Timetobegood · 12/11/2019 07:35

In my accent it’s more, Co-ul.

LolaLollypop · 12/11/2019 07:40

I think it depends on the surname too. Cole wouldn't suit a single syllable surname imo.

I always thought it was weird when one of the Girls Aloud ladies... was it Kimberley? Called her son Cole.. shortly after Cheryl got divorced from Ashley Cole.

I probably wouldn't choose either personally, but that's just me!

Sparklysunflowers · 12/11/2019 08:03

As long as the surname isn't Mine Grin

17caterpillars1mouse · 15/11/2019 21:08

I really like Cole. I know a Nicholas who goes by Cole and I think it really works.

I also know a 16 year old Kohl which is quite interesting

meandmyboyz · 16/11/2019 16:16

Thankyou everyone , seems really mixed reviews I've only got 16 days till I'm induced I think I'll have to wait and see him as I'm still so unsure . It feels such a huge naming responsibility this time

Wow really surprised how many people dislike Cole! I'm from the UK and I love it. It's right at the top of our boys names :) I don't think the link with coal should or would be a negative thing?! It makes me think of Cole Sprouse who is pretty cool! I do like Casper too but prefer Cole. Good luck with it all, hope the induction goes well x

Ravenrob · 16/11/2019 22:16

I really like Cole! Reminds me of Lego Ninjago though Grin
Good luck!

bridgetreilly · 16/11/2019 22:17

Casper is MUCH better than Cole.

owlofathena · 16/11/2019 22:30

I really like the name Cole. It's the sort of name I would consider for ds but as I live in an ex coal mining village it may raise a few eye brows. I think it's a really lovely name though

howu2 · 16/11/2019 22:34

Cole is an awesome name!!! Go for it and ignore the people who hate it if you love it 👍
