Best middle name for Sophie

MissPepper8 · 04/11/2019 16:41

We're not finding out what babies sex is this time round but I am convinced that I'm having another boy. My boy name is sorted, love it and really happy.

Girls names on the other hand I've found really difficult to choose but we've finally decided on Sophie for a first name, it's a lovely favourite of mine.

I just can't decide between the middle name Mae (as in May, it's my great aunties middle name with spelling too) or Grace.

Really picky so it's taken a long time to settle on Grace or Mae but I can't decide which sounds better?

I like Mae best I think but love grace too.

What’s your boys name out of interest OP?

Sophie is lovely - a classic!

Winterdaysarehere · 04/11/2019 16:44

I know a Sophie Jayne.

MilliePotts · 04/11/2019 16:58

I think Sophie Mae flows better and is more unique. Sophie Grace has quite a hard stop with the "G"

HopScotchHop · 04/11/2019 17:06

Sophie Grace is a beautiful name!

Whoops75 · 04/11/2019 17:08

Grace

Sophie Ann (e)

I like Sophie Mae better

MissPepper8 · 04/11/2019 18:08

@MissHenty my boys name is going to be Theodore (Theo) James

@heidbuttsupper Anne is my middle name but I don't like it lol.

So hard to choose, think Mae would be nice, my great aunt would be over the moon too.

Sophie Grace is lovely

Both lovely and go perfectly well. Because of the lovely family connection I would choose Sophie Mae.

The middle name Grace is so so popular these days! Grace or Rose always seems to sneak in so for me it’s turned into a bit of a “filler” name. Mae is lovely - family connection and more unique.

Leopardprintboots · 05/11/2019 10:28

@MissPepper8 Theodore is lovely

Ah why don’t you go with Mae if it will make great aunt so happy ! 😃

MissPepper8 · 05/11/2019 10:31

Thanks ladies think I will go with Mae because of what everyone's said, it just makes sense too.

My great aunt will be over the moon, she couldnt have children and loves my DS x

Came on here to say Grace! Lovely combination.

villamariavintrapp · 05/11/2019 20:31

Both nice but very popular combinations, so I'd go with Mae if there's a family connection
