We have a super long short list and have reached the stage where I just want someone to tell me what name to use!

Below is our current list...although husband doesn't necessarily agree with them all I'm hoping I can still change his mind!

Matilda Dixon
Clementine Dixon
Florence Dixon
Daisy Dixon
Xanthe Dixon
Romily Dixon
Francesca Dixon

Mabel Dixon
Cecily Dixon
Margot Dixon
Beatrix Dixon
Nancy Dixon
Alice Dixon
Etta Dixon
Georgia Dixon
Thea Dixon

Any other suggestions welcome!

Thanks

Nancy Dixon is a great name?

What about Freya?

Saltnpepperr · 02/11/2019 20:24

Daisy, Mabel, Florence or Delilah

Saltnpepperr · 02/11/2019 20:25

Storm for a middle name - love it

Cheerfullygo4 · 02/11/2019 20:28

Love Clementine and Nancy. Go really well with Dixon.

Spied · 02/11/2019 20:30

Alice
Delilah is lovely too.
DD wouldn't bother me.

popsadaisy · 02/11/2019 20:31

Georgia

joffreyscoffees · 02/11/2019 20:36

Thea is DD's name so I think it's beautiful - we have a lot of compliments about it too, it's not a popular name where we are.

Nancy was also top of my list and I'd have gone for it if DH had agreed.

I do like Clementine but I'm not brave enough.

Funnily enough Freya was top of the list for our last child but my husband thinks it's too popular now but I do still love it

Matilda Dixon, Beatrix Dixon and Margot Dixon are my favourites. If you went with Theodora Dixon nn Thea that would be nice as well. I have no problem with the double d, it's that Daisy is such a nickname to me, not a proper name.

BuffaloCauliflower · 02/11/2019 21:18

Mabel is my favourite of your choices. Daisy Dixon is a bit porn star/page three pseudonym

user1493494961 · 03/11/2019 08:39

Matilda, Clementine, Florence or Alice.

Loneranger14 · 03/11/2019 08:57

I love blakesley

IckleBear · 03/11/2019 09:23

Nancy Dixon sounds great.

Sparklypurpleunicornsaremyfav · 03/11/2019 10:27

Going against the grain here but I don't really like daisy. I love Nancy though I also like Georgia, Florence and Mabel. I love the name Beatrix but not with your surname. Love freya

Astronica · 03/11/2019 14:29

Favourites with your surname:

Clementine
Romilly
Nancy
Alice
Georgia

I do love Daisy and while the alliteration can sound sweet I had a name like this and found as a quiet and retiring person it was very hard to handle - and couldn't wait to change it. Just my experience. I wonder if you have to be a confident person to carry an alliterative name?

I also love Matilda, Florence, Beatrix, Xanthe, Francesca but not so much with Dixon. Since you have plenty of great names that sound good with surname this is a great way to narrow the list down.

Welshy545 · 03/11/2019 14:41

Favourite is Alice Dixon!

17caterpillars1mouse · 03/11/2019 20:20

Francesca, Mabel and Thea would be my shortlist

MrsBertBibby · 03/11/2019 23:02

I think Romilly is your best.

Beatrix doesn't work. Etta is rude. Daisy is a cow's name. Mabel is just ugly. Margot is such a fad name, and will date. The rest are mostly ok but not special. I rarely go for Romilly, but it works really well with Dixon.
