Aidan, Lewis or Elliot?

Aidan, Lewis and Elliot are our current choices for DS2 - can't decide between them so thoughts welcome! DS1 has a similarly "classic" name, not unusual but not too popular.

Elliot. Aiden is hideous and Lewis is boring

123Dancewithme · 28/10/2019 14:50

I don’t like any of the three, but Aidan if I really had to choose.

LemonBreeland · 28/10/2019 14:54

Absolutely love Elliot. The other two are a bit meh to me.

Spied · 28/10/2019 14:55

Love Aidan.
All the Lewis's I know and know of ( young and old) are awful so makes me dislike it.
Elliot isn't to my taste

Thenamedame · 28/10/2019 16:32

Elliot is a lovely classic name. Lewis is very 90s and quite a negative stereotyoe comes to mind for me. Aidan along with Kayden, Jayden and Hayden are all horrifically overused by a very specific socioeconomic grouping and teachers do wince when they see it on their class register. Something to think about. I'm sure your Aidan would be lovely but it does come with a stigma.

Lewis. Lewis. Lewis.

EleanorShellstrop100 · 29/10/2019 04:14

Elliott

Astronica · 29/10/2019 06:01

Elliot

Elliot

hiyahen · 29/10/2019 06:16

Lewis

Elliot and Aidan will always have to say 'it's Elliot with one t or it's Aidan ending an when giving their names for the first time' as there are popular variations for them. Lewis is just Lewis - easy Smile (and it sounds the best too!).

Shadow1234 · 29/10/2019 06:16

I like them all, but Elliott would be my number one choice

BlouseAndSkirt · 29/10/2019 06:24

Lewis
Dislike the other two.

To my mind Aiden sounds nasal and an ugly sound, and Elliot sounds wet and musty and I have the same reaction to it as I do to the word ‘moist’. But obviously others love these names.

BlueChampagne · 29/10/2019 13:14

Love Aidan (that spelling) and Lewis; less keen on Elliott.

FizzyGreenWater · 29/10/2019 16:03

Aidan then Lewis then Elliott.

Elliott is really dislike, it seems to be a very marmite name.

Pemba · 29/10/2019 16:10

No chance of Louis instead of Lewis I suppose? A lovely name, and just seems classier to me. Lewis is very surnamey and the same goes for Elliot. Hard to get a nickname for Elliot that doesn't sound like a girls' name, too.

Aidan is fine so I'd go for that if not Louis.

Pemba · 29/10/2019 16:14

And I don't think you can really group Aidan with Jayden and Kayden. OK they rhyme, but one is a traditional Irish name isn't it? And the others aren't....

LeeMiller · 29/10/2019 16:20

Elliott is lovely. El, Otto, Eli.

Louis is classic to me, not Lewis.

Aiden I think Irish, I wouldn't associate it with Jayden, Hayden etc.

sue51 · 29/10/2019 16:20

I like all 3 though Aidan is my favourite.

Lozz22 · 29/10/2019 16:32

Elliot

notso · 29/10/2019 16:36

Elliot.

Lewis is a bit wet to me.
Please not another Aidan. Every other boy born seems to be an Aidan.

Zana2222 · 29/10/2019 19:06

Elliot

SaveTheTreesPlease · 06/11/2019 01:25

Love Elliot! Love love love it.

Graymare · 06/11/2019 01:32

Aidan.

notangelinajolie · 06/11/2019 01:34

Probably Aiden. Elliot is too ET and I don't like the other one.
