Has this name been ruined by the pig?

Does anyone like it? Or is it just too much?

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
NationMcKinley · 22/10/2019 21:21

Pippin Galadriel Moonchild is better

spice3 · 22/10/2019 21:23

@MrsMaryMooFace never, but did give it a quick google......

@lotusbell my DP likes it purely for this reason!

I like it. Wasn't there a Pepper in Annie?

millymae · 22/10/2019 21:26

Surely not - I’m usually pretty laid back when it comes to names but today we’ve had Revel and now Pepper.
I know names are just sounds and children have no preconceptions, but I would be embarrassed to be called either of these.

Fallofrain · 22/10/2019 21:32

I actually dont consider myself out there and have very pedestrian name choices....

But i like pepper!

Although i wonder if there might be a spicy/ sexy connotation?

bakesalesally · 22/10/2019 22:08

Oh for goodness sake!!!ConfusedHmmShock
This is a nickname and not something to be officially inflicted upon an actual person for the rest of their life.

Please give your child a decent, acceptable name and then call the child by a nick name. That way, they have the choice as an adult to decide what they prefer.

OnTopOfTheWardrobe · 22/10/2019 22:37

I dislike seasoning names like Pepper, Sage or whatever other nonsense (sure there must be a baby Tumeric somewhere...)
Pepper s just associated with the pig. Don't do it.

ViserionTheDragon · 22/10/2019 22:42

It's up there with Balonz Gin.

StrawberryPi · 22/10/2019 22:53

In Spanish Pepa is a nickname for Maria Jose, does that appeal?

Runkle · 22/10/2019 22:58

I know a Guinea pig called Pepper.

megletthesecond · 22/10/2019 23:01

It's cute but not a proper name.
Call her Penelope. Then, if you must, you can use Pepper for her nickname.

TheJoxter · 22/10/2019 23:01

Could have it as a nickname for Philippa, that way they can become pippa if they don’t like pepper

TheJoxter · 22/10/2019 23:01

Or Penelope as another poster just said

PrincessHoneysuckle · 22/10/2019 23:06

Google pepper from American horror story and I guarantee you wont want to use it Grin

FizzyGreenWater · 22/10/2019 23:13

How about Condimentia, Pepper for short

MissLadyM · 22/10/2019 23:21

My best friend is called Pepper! I love it and have never thought of the pig!

DontCallMeShitley · 22/10/2019 23:40

How about Capiscum?

Astronica · 23/10/2019 03:29

I like it. And I like it as a nickname for Penelope.

Topseyt · 23/10/2019 03:36

I do like a bit of pepper, on food and with salt. I would find it a very strange choice of name indeed.

Awful. Just don't.

Littledidsheknow · 23/10/2019 08:02

No. It’s too mundane and everyday.

Would be better to go for “Paprika.”

SaharaSunset · 23/10/2019 08:05

In all seriousness, I always think of Pepper Potts from Iron Man not the Pig

MrsElijahMikaelson1 · 23/10/2019 08:06

Is it you who also wanted Revel?

Just give your kid a normal name

CaptainTurdseye · 23/10/2019 08:08

Pepper’s a character in AHS

Pepper
Sally99 · 23/10/2019 08:09

It's a nice name for an animal. Sorry!

Starryskiesinthesky · 23/10/2019 08:10
