Ruby or Emilia

Our baby girl is due in 3 weeks and we are yet to decide on a name for her. It's looking like we will either go for Ruby or Emilia (Emmie as a nn). Her middle name will be Robyn after DHs dad, although I didn't like the similar sounds of Ruby followed by Robyn (so please don't tell me you like this as it's a definite no 🤣) SO she will either be:

Ruby Emilia Robyn Allen
Or
Emilia Robyn Allen

Which do you prefer?? I've also been told there's a Ruby Allen in eastenders 🙈 (I don't watch it) and I can't decide if this bothers me or not.

There are so many emilias and amelias. Spelling it with an e only complicated things for her and doesn't distinguish her from all the amelias.

I prefer ruby and like that you still get to use Emilia in the longer name, but without having to constantly correct people to Emilia rather than Amelia.

Also I find the nick name Emmy a bit wet. Ruby is a nice solid name. No one will remember the names of eastenders characters in a few years unless it's literally Peggy Mitchell. Also hardly anyone watches eastenders now!

Ruby. I loathe Emmie. It sounds so wet to me. Ruby is much nicer.

Can't stand the name Emilia and especially Amelia

I like the name Ruby but if you've got your heart set on having Robyn as a middle name then it doesn't flow as well as Emilia does with it.

Emilia, it’s a light pretty name.

I really dislike Ruby. I see it as a heavy, plain Jane name. Also hate the colour red so maybe that’s why!
