Hi, I was wondering about peoples thoughts on these names- Joni, Eloise, Grace, Julia or Lucy. Which would be a fave?

I really like Julia, Lucy & Eloise. If I'd had a girl I could happily have used any of them.

I'm not keen on the Gr- sound in Grace but it's nice enough as a middle name. I wouldn't choose it as a first name.

Joni is incomplete looking, as if it's a diminutive of a longer name. It's OK though, I don't dislike it.

Eloise
Julia or Juliette (underused imo)
Lucia sounds more classier & grown up than Lucy

Julia is lovely and needs a revival ( as does Judith). Not keen on the others.

I don't like Joni or Julia.
I like Grace but it's currently over-used imo.

I want to like Joni, as am a Joni Mitchell fan, but far prefer the Joanie spelling.

I like Joan. I think of Joan Collins and Joan Fontaine.
Joni is cute, as is Joanie.

Eloise is just another of the Ellie type names that have been overpopular.
Julia is classic but I know so many adult ones. Grace is nice but has become a filler middle name.

Joni - I grew up with a Joni who always came across as very strong and a bit quirky. I like it

Eloise - not a fan, it makes me think of a kid that is snotty and obnoxious

Grace - I like it. Such a classic. My sil's sil has just had a little girl named Grace

Julia - not a fan at all

Lucy - lovely classic. I love it

I would go with Joni or Lucy I think, though I really like Grace too (just not as a middle name)
