sleepismysuperpower1 · 04/10/2019 18:09

yes, i know a lovely little girl called Marigold and she goes by the nicknames Goldie or Marie x

Loveislandaddict · 04/10/2019 18:10

Yes. Wasn’t one of the children in Downton called Marigold?

Bucatini · 04/10/2019 18:10

I like it! I only know one - she's in her 90s!

Windydaysuponus · 04/10/2019 18:11

You seriously can't name your dd after a rubber glove....

sleepismysuperpower1 · 04/10/2019 18:14

@windydaysuponus it's also a flower!

Windydaysuponus · 04/10/2019 18:19

If your name shapes your personality she may be a bondage queen!!
Many other flowers to choose op....

missyB1 · 04/10/2019 18:20

Yes go for it! I love flower names

Rubber glove Grin

Rachelover60 · 04/10/2019 18:21

Yes, Loveislandaddict, Lady Edith's little girl. Winston Churchill and his wife had a daughter called Marigold, he said they called her that because of her beautiful golden hair (unfortunately she died before she was two).

I think it is a splendid name and she could be called, "Mari" for short.

NoSauce · 04/10/2019 18:28

It’s not my usual style but I do like it. I like Gloria too.

GeorgiaGirl52 · 04/10/2019 18:31

Love it!!

percheron67 · 04/10/2019 18:37

Rubber gloves!!

nordstrom · 04/10/2019 18:38

Love it!

Pearlyxdrop · 04/10/2019 18:39

Not keen.

CallMeRachel · 04/10/2019 18:44

No...my mind goes straight to those awful yellow rubber gloves

Marianne?
Miranda?

Morado · 04/10/2019 18:47

It's awful on so many levels 🤮

IggyAce · 04/10/2019 18:51

It’s fine, not my cup of tea. I met a baby called Primrose recently and I think it’s similar in style to marigold.

AverageMummy · 04/10/2019 18:56

Not for me but I’ve heard plenty worse

diddlediddle · 04/10/2019 19:30

Yes I like Primrose too!

I didn't even think of rubber gloves, shows how much cleaning/washing up I do 😂

OP posts:
Autumnsloth · 04/10/2019 19:33

I like it

daisypond · 04/10/2019 19:50

I like it.

Rachelover60 · 04/10/2019 20:13

Oh I like Primrose too, and Rose (not sure about Hyacinth:-) ). Iris perhaps?

Mesmeri · 04/10/2019 20:14

It's sweet but I don't think she'd thank you for it. I would go with Marion...

Mesmeri · 04/10/2019 20:15

Marigold would be an awesome name for a pet though...

hungryhippie · 04/10/2019 20:16

I think it's a beautiful sounding name, as is Primrose.

AfterSchoolWorry · 04/10/2019 20:16

I think its gorgeous.
