Love Tommy.
Will it be Thomas on birth certificate?
Dislike Freddie lots. Just no.

Gummibaerchen1 · 04/10/2019 17:31

Why do names have to be so twee and cutesy these days?!

Gummibaerchen1 · 04/10/2019 17:31

Neither

Janaih · 04/10/2019 17:32

Thomas

123Dancewithme · 04/10/2019 17:49

Thomas shortened to Tommy

ThroughThickAndThin01 · 04/10/2019 17:51

Freddie

Although I love Tom.

RolytheRhino · 04/10/2019 17:51

Tommy.

bookishgreen · 04/10/2019 17:52

Freddie. My dbro is freddie and he’s lovely

IceBearRocks · 04/10/2019 17:53

Neither...both horrid x

Zeldasmagicwand · 04/10/2019 17:54

Sound like the names of notorious criminals to me, but then a few people suggested that DS's name is a dog's name so on that basis I think you should choose whatever you like best or just combine them, if you can't agree.

Crawley65 · 04/10/2019 17:55

Thomas but Tom not Tommy. Really dislike Tommy.

Knittedfairies · 04/10/2019 17:58

Neither. Frederick or Thomas on the birth certificate, then Freddie or Tommy as diminutives.

Yeahnahyeah1 · 04/10/2019 17:59

Thomas, nn Tommy.

user1493494961 · 04/10/2019 18:29

Tommy, Tom is nicer than Fred, which ultimately they would be shortened to.

Gummibaerchen1 · 04/10/2019 18:45

Frederick but not Fred or Freddy

Petrichor11 · 04/10/2019 20:15

Thomas

I’m not a fan of Tommy, though it’s not awful. I would just use Tom

NoSauce · 04/10/2019 20:19

I don’t like Tommy. Tom is so much nicer.

Rock on TOMMY.

partofyoupoursoutofme · 04/10/2019 20:23

Love Tommy! On it's own it's fab, shortened to Tom it works in every situation.

NoSauce · 04/10/2019 20:29

Just reminds me of Vera Duckworth saying “ are ( our ) Tommeh “ Grin

howu2 · 04/10/2019 20:44

Tom

RuthW · 04/10/2019 20:46

I prefer Frederick although Thomas is nice.

gwilt · 04/10/2019 20:51

Neither. Give them the option of a full name for the future, if they want it.

Swishswish26 · 04/10/2019 20:53

Sorry but not keen on Freddie and it’s very overused. Reminds me of the chocolate bar Freddo Frog. Tommy is better.

Apolloanddaphne · 04/10/2019 20:59

Tommy. My DF was Thomas and went by Tam most of his life. His elderly aunts alway called him Tommy though. I love it.

MissHenty · 04/10/2019 21:13

Has this helped @george24
