Castiel and Gabriel? Cass and Gabe. This might be our compromise after DH conceded only 60% affection for Malchai but warming feelings towards Gabriel.

Thoughts?

Grin I love supernatural but all parents who watch supernatural will automatically assume thats where the names came from. I'd go with Casper and Gabriel tbh. The same nicknames and if nothing else will separate them from the association.

SleepingStandingUp · 04/10/2019 18:48

But Casper is a ghost. A friendly one but still, a ghost

My friend has a little boy named Castiel and I love it! People on here always think it's not a real name 🙄

I prefer Malachi to Gabriel.

AverageMummy · 04/10/2019 18:57

So much better than Malachi

whitesockss · 04/10/2019 19:02

Cassian and Gabriel is a lovely combination

Some other suggestions that I feel are a similar vibe:
Reuben
Saul
Caleb
Jude

Twillow · 04/10/2019 19:10

I'd think it's a little out there to name them both after angels. But what about Zeke, for Ezekiel? Not keen on Cassiel and it is a real mouthful with Gabriel and a bit similar.

RolytheRhino · 04/10/2019 19:15

Persius? Amenadiel? Zacchaeus?

RolytheRhino · 04/10/2019 19:17

Malachi makes me think of the character from Hex.

RainWoman19 · 04/10/2019 19:24

Ooh I love Castiel..not Gabriel although they go really well together x

SleepingStandingUp · 04/10/2019 22:40

Twillow i'd have Ezekiel in a heartbeat but DH has been against it for 4.5 years (guess how old eldest is 😂😂)

RolytheRhino Zacchaeus is adorable but we're already not having Zachariah as my nephew is Izaak and it's a bit too close

I love the name Castiel.
Never been a big fan of Gabriel, but according to this thread it seems pretty well liked.

TheVanguardSix · 04/10/2019 23:30

Gabriel and Raphael would be my choice.
Gabriel and Jude.

Castiel has me thinking of soap.
And Malachai is just too heavy.

Sowingbees · 04/10/2019 23:31

Op, let your dh name twin one Gabriel and then say I pushed him out my fanny /had my stomach sliced so I'm naming twin 2 Ezekiel

Rachelover60 · 04/10/2019 23:34

I don't like both children having 'iel' at the end of their names. Gabriel is a lovely name but I'd think of a different type of name altogether for the other child. However, it's up to you.

Astronica · 05/10/2019 06:36

I don't like Gabriel but do like Castiel. I would love Raphael and Casper for something similar.

Saltnpepperr · 05/10/2019 07:28

I like Castiel! And Cassius, Caspian, Caspar..
Not so mad on Gabriel but as someone else said, it seems popular on mumsnet.
I really really don’t like Malachi.

Whydoesitalwaysrainatpickup · 05/10/2019 08:19

What about Gabriel And Abraham Gabe and Abe?
Or Gabriel and Immanuel?
Jacob
Soliman
Joseph
Ivor/Ivan

Do like Gabe but not Cass sorry

Sparklypurpleunicornsaremyfav · 05/10/2019 08:39

You said earlier about Sam, why not Gabriel and Samuel?
Gabriel and solomon
Gabriel and samson

NoSauce · 05/10/2019 08:42

Cassius and Gabriel are so good together. Absolutely gorgeous names.

Ellmau · 05/10/2019 09:52

Gabriel is great. Castiel definitely will make people think of SN.

Julius?
Jasper?
Casimir?
Jesse?
Constantine?
Alexander?

Lavenderblues · 05/10/2019 14:22

I'm not keen on either Gabriel or Castiel

But I love the suggestions of Cassius and Quentin, nicknames Cass and Quinn!

finallychangedmyusername · 05/10/2019 16:29

I really love Castiel.

Windydaysuponus · 05/10/2019 16:32

Gabriel and Solomon.
Gabe & Sol.

milliefiori · 05/10/2019 16:35

How about Gabriel and Raphael if you want angels. They go so well together. I think Castiel is too close to Gabriel in spelling.

BelFrost · 05/10/2019 18:11

My youngest is called Castiel. If I had twins Gabe and Cas would have been amazing names.
Ps. Everyone remarks what a beautiful name he has.
