Thank you to everyone who helped with my last thread :)

Gabriel was on my list for DS but didn't get used in the end. He actually prefers it to the name we did use and plans to use it if he has a son one day. There are 2 at his primary school (also 2 Theos). I quite like Elijah but reminds me of Cher (her son Elijah Blue played guitar on some of her songs). Elias sounds very Dickensian to me.

Ah thanks everyone for helping :)

Probably should have thought about our surname Hmm Not sure Theo or Gabriel goes with our surname.

Still Leaning towards Elias and Elijah.

WildCherryBlossom yep absolutely agree about Elias being dickensian.

I love Elias. Like Theo and Gabriel too, but Elias is definitely my favourite. I had it tucked away as a 'one day' name for our hypothetical DS2, but never got to use it - he would probably have been Rowan Elias.

Honeybee0 · 25/09/2019 18:44

Thanks spiderlight for your vote of confidence :)
Even though its not stand out here I think Elias could be the one.

I definitely like Elias the best

Namaste6 · 25/09/2019 23:53

Hands down - Gabriel (Gabe)

rhysverity · 26/09/2019 02:45

What are your thoughts on the name Gordon?

What do you think of the name without the associations
(Such as Gordo meaning Fat in Spanish)

Shadow1234 · 26/09/2019 05:37

Ellis would be my favourite, followed by Elijah

rhysverity · 26/09/2019 15:50

Sorry i messed up 😂

ItStartedWithAKiss241 · 26/09/2019 16:03

My DS is Elias and I still love it, it really suits him! However no-one ever knows how to pronounce it when we first meet x

MissHenty · 26/09/2019 16:07

@rhysverity I don’t like Gordon. It’s a really harsh sounding name with no real nn apart front Gordo or something odd like that

Gabriel is gorgeous though

Jackiesathome · 26/09/2019 16:14

Theo

Treaclebee · 26/09/2019 16:20

I like all of them. Don't think you can go far wrong.

Nonnymum · 26/09/2019 16:42

Elias is my favourite. But really just go for your favourite.

MissPepper8 · 26/09/2019 18:08

Theo is our choice if baby turns out to be a boy (not finding out) but I love Gabriel too, we'd use Gabriel but DH mum is a vicar and a bit ott with things.

Have you gone with the meaning of a name? That's why we settled on Theo.

wondering7777 · 01/10/2019 07:49

Thinking ahead, personally I don’t think Gabriel works as a name for an older English bloke. Elijah is my favourite out of those!

But names like Alfie and Archie do Hmm?!
