FrownPrincess · 24/09/2019 19:32

Seth is great.

Or maybe Sethless? Grin

Shadow1234 · 24/09/2019 19:44

Zachary is the only one I like

Chips4dinneragain · 24/09/2019 20:24

Love Zachary, not keen on Monty and would worry about the name being associated with Uncle Monty from Withnail and I. Like Seth a lot too.

DramaAlpaca · 24/09/2019 20:28

Seth is lispy & makes me think of slithery snakes for some reason Confused

Ralph is just hideous, however it's pronounced.

Monty is silly.

The rest are perfectly fine.

Lotsofbuttons · 24/09/2019 20:29

Going against the trend here

I really like Monty - it’s May favourite of your list

OverthinkingThis · 24/09/2019 20:31

Monty, Ralph and Henry are a bit wet. The rest are great!

123Dancewithme · 24/09/2019 21:06

The only one I don’t like is Monty.

joystir59 · 24/09/2019 21:08

Joseph is the only name on your list that I wholeheartedly like

pinkandstripey · 24/09/2019 21:13

Henry is crazy popular where I live (midlands).

WobblyLondoner · 24/09/2019 21:25

Oh, was so looking forward to a bunfight over Ruthless! I do like Seth - but as a pp has said will mean raised eyebrows for anyone who has read Cold Comfort Farm (if I remember rightly Seth is the slightly slow but ever so handsome musclebound fam hunk who ends up in Hollywood).

user1493494961 · 24/09/2019 21:39

Don't like Ralph but all the others are fine. I know a lovely little Monty, really like the name (it hasn't done Monty Don any harm).

MissHenty · 24/09/2019 21:41

I like Ralph best ( no one our kids age will have heard of Judy Bloom - even I haven’t heard of it!)

2nd choice Seth

MrsBertBibby · 24/09/2019 22:50

Joseph by far the best.

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 24/09/2019 23:19

I don’t know where this sudden hype for Ralph has came from.
Monty. Don’t get me started. It’s awful. Let’s just leave it at that.
Joseph. There’s nothing to dislike, but I’m not personally over keen. I much prefer Joe,
Benjamin. I love Ben but not Benjamin.
Zachary. I total Neutral on this name.
Seth. See Zachary
Henry. Too posh for me.

100PercentThatBitch · 24/09/2019 23:29

Monty is a NN for Montgomery though isn't it? As in Mr Burns Smile

Seth whenever I hear Seth, i always think "Seth Plate"

I know this is Confused

BUT

It's because Seth is the name of the Angel in City Of Angels and he makes up his surname from the first thing he sees 😂

Ralph also makes me think of The Simpson's - the snivelly one

Like Benjamin and Zachary but the shortenings are inevitable

Muddlingalongalone · 24/09/2019 23:36

Seth, Joseph & Benjamin - yes
Monty, Zachary & Ralph - nooooo

A word of caution - dd1 has a th & far too many people locally pronounce th as f. Hadn't crossed my mind pee-children but definitely a consideration.

Astronica · 25/09/2019 03:24

I really like Ralph, Monty, Henry and Zachary.
Joseph and Benjamin are okay, but feel a bit bland through over-use and heavy sounding.
I'm not keen on Seth.

Inlovewitharagorn · 25/09/2019 08:48

So hoped this would be a thread about the name Nancy.

Ralph - I like it pronounced Rafe, not so keen when pronounced Ralf (I think of the Nazi boyfriend in Sound of Music). But I'd also spell it Rafe personally.
Joseph - it's a nice name. To me it's dull because I know several thousand. But it's nice.
Benjamin - ok
Seth - LOVE this.
Henry - lovely name, quite popular
Monty - I like this but it does look very nicknamey
Zachary - ok. A bit boring.

Seth is my favourite from your list.
Monty or Rafe would be next.

Babdoc · 25/09/2019 08:52

Seth was the third son of Adam and Eve, so a nice traditional biblical name. And still relatively unusual.

Ludways · 25/09/2019 09:07

Benjamin my ds (178 has 4 friends called Ben, they're all known by their surnames now as it's so common.

Seth is my favourite and I hate Zachary. Others are OK.

Ludways · 25/09/2019 09:11

(178... was trying to say (18), lol

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 25/09/2019 09:12

178 Grin

MrsMoastyToasty · 25/09/2019 09:18

Seth
Zachary

I prefer Toothless to Ruthless.

Gloopy · 25/09/2019 09:22

Seth... I have one. He is in his early 20's now. I love that it is growing in popularity. I've never met another in the UK, but through an old job, I did speak to 2 Americans ones.

Or Henry, not keen on the others.

hairyheadphones · 25/09/2019 09:27

Joseph and Benjamin are lovely.

Really don’t like Seth or Ralph.

The others are ok.
