Indigo- a colour, not a name...
Renae- I prefer the traditional Renee spelling
Oakley- awful, just don't
Bessie- Nice, if you put Elizabeth on the birth certificate
Raina- I prefer Raine, which is unusual and interesting
Bea- Nice, if you put Beatrice on the birth certificate
Geneva- Ginerva (an Italian name) would be nice

SoftSheen · 19/09/2019 21:10

Having thought about it, Geneva is actually nice too :)

Dinosaursdontgrowontrees · 19/09/2019 21:12

I really like Indigo and Renae.

Bessie and Bea and nice nicknames for Elisabeth and Beatrice.

Really not keen on the others

LadyGAgain · 19/09/2019 21:22

I like Rayna. Not the way you've spelt it. It's a regal name and very pretty. Not keen on the others. Indigo is quite nice.

AuntieStella · 19/09/2019 22:00

Of your list, I'd go for Geneva (though you might find people assume it's a place of conception name - would that bother you? If so, perhaps Ginevra instead?)

Renae and Raina - strongly prefer the usual spellings

Bessie and Bea - still more of a nickname than an actual name, but do like Bessie

Indigo - too like Inigo, and weird association with Indigo children
Oakley - sunglasses

user1493494961 · 19/09/2019 22:58

Don't like any of them, sorry.

Morado · 19/09/2019 23:14

I love Indigo, Oakley and Geneva best 😁

Poetryinaction · 20/09/2019 00:09

Um. Bea is ok.

Astronica · 20/09/2019 00:44

I really like Indigo and Raina. Bea is nice too, though I'd prefer it as a short form for Beatrix.

Shadow1234 · 20/09/2019 00:52

Renee is a lovely name ( but prefer this spelling)
Geneva is also really nice
Not keen on the others

CatSmize · 20/09/2019 01:19

Indigo gets my vote.

Jossina · 20/09/2019 04:59

Ditto what SoftSheen said.

Geneva1995 · 20/09/2019 07:24

@user1493494961 thanks for the most unhelpful comment.

And thank you everyone else. I agree with longer name on birth certificate and then shorted to the nicknames we like :)

I like Geneva best. It’s nice.

IckleBear · 20/09/2019 17:19

I like Indigo and Geneva

BR540 · 20/09/2019 17:20

I like Bessie as a nickname.

Raina is lovely.

Frith2013 · 20/09/2019 18:17

Indigo - do you mean Inigo, which is actually a name?
Renae - and Renata
Oakley - sunglasses
Bessie - large, maiden ain’t
Raina - sunnier
Bea - short for?
Geneva - Swiss industrial town

Frith2013 · 20/09/2019 18:19

*aunt

Frith2013 · 20/09/2019 18:28

You might want to Google “Geneva Convention”

Geneva1995 · 20/09/2019 18:59

@frith2013 if you’d bothered to read my comment or see my user name you’d know Geneva is my name and also my mums name. So I wont bother googling that thank you though.

Geneva1995 · 20/09/2019 19:04

@Frith2013 also I presume you mean Renée and Renato? If so, what is your point?

OP posts:
Frith2013 · 20/09/2019 19:47

That Renee is a dreadful name?

Frith2013 · 20/09/2019 19:48

My Mum’s name is Jean. Mine is equally shit. So obviously we don’t inflict our terrible names on the next generation.

CodenameVillanelle · 20/09/2019 19:54

Indigo - no
Renae - spell Renee
Oakley - not for a girl
Bessie - boring
Raina - Ok
Bea - ok if short for
Geneva - don't like it much
