Dh and I are slowly narrowing down the list and this is where we got to so far. We both have a favourite but like all of the below. We want a classic name with a more girly nn. For no particular reason letter L features a lot!

Eleanor nn Elle, Ellie
Evelyn nn Evie
Joan nn Joanie
Leah
Lyra

Love Joanie and I don't agree about it will def be shortened to Jo. Do prefer Johanna/Joanna as can choose Annie as well as Joanie.

newreality1 · 19/09/2019 12:23

Eleanor is lovely

coconuttymummy · 19/09/2019 20:15

I love Lyra x

LarkDescending · 19/09/2019 23:27

Not sure whether you want suggestions but I thought of Helena nn Nell?

CakeRattleandRoll · 20/09/2019 06:48

Joan/Joanie is great - classic and strong.
Others are fine, although I always see Lyra as Lycra.

geojojo · 20/09/2019 06:56

Love Eleanor and would consider if I had another one. Really dislike Ellie though and would prefer Elle or even better Nell.
Love Joanne, so cute.

geojojo · 20/09/2019 07:03

I mean Joan!

NoSauce · 20/09/2019 13:10

Eleanor is the best but I hate Ellie.

Not keen on the others.

IckleBear · 20/09/2019 17:16

Only like Joanie out of those.

CarysRed · 20/09/2019 17:20

I love the nam Leah

123Dancewithme · 21/09/2019 20:34

Definitely Joan/Joanie

missmouse101 · 21/09/2019 20:40

Leah sounds like leer so not nice. Joan is awful, really dowdy! Eleanor is the nicest.

2girlsandagap · 22/09/2019 22:52

Nell is gorgeous. I wanted to call my dd that but dh refused. Still a bit bitter over it.

C0untDucku1a · 22/09/2019 22:53

Another vote for Joan

Derbee · 23/09/2019 00:08

Eleanor nn Elle is lovely
Evie is horrendously overused and dull
Lyra is sharp and ugly.
