Baby no name!

Help me name my baby. She arrived last night, fully expecting a little baby boy Ted so a bit thrown at having to name a girl.

Thoughts:

Daisy (this was number one throughout pregnancy but just not sure if it's right now she's here)
Joni
Juno
Nancy

Short seems to be good. There's an L in the middle of our surname so anything with an L in the middle/end of the first name ends up a bit lalala.

DH would like if there was a literary or musical reference. I like flower names (but not the obvious Lily, Rose etc).

Joni!

MrsBertBibby · 15/09/2019 20:21

Edith! Literary (Wharton, Sitwell) and musical (Piaf)

Iris : flower, and literary (Murdoch)

Nina: Literary (Bawden) and musical (Simone)

MrsBertBibby · 15/09/2019 20:22

Of your list, I prefer Joni, then Juno. Daisy is a name for a cow. Nancy has nice bounce, but it's not an elegant name at all.

IckleBear · 15/09/2019 20:34

I like Nancy..
What about Sadie?
Bonnie?

Looking for girl names for my pet tortoise #tortoisemummy #mummylovesyou #my4leggedbaby

strawberrylaces88 · 15/09/2019 20:41

Thanks everyone!

Quite like a few in there - Nina, Flora, Frida, Posy (with a Y rather than IE).

Can't decide if I like the idea of Teddy for a girl or whether we should keep it in case we have a boy. Although quite like Dorothy/Dorothea, little Dot Smile
