Preparing a list to present to my DH for our (probably) son, due in 8wks. Ages. But not ages when DH and I have ABSOLUTELY no crossover! Girls name is sorted. This is our first and probs only bub.

So far, so please make suggestions!! 😊

Asher
Dylan
Rudi/Rudy
Torben
Quinton

Middle name will be William (both grandads are William, this we do agree on) but it wont be first name.

I think Torben is a great strong name! As is Quentin.

I find Asher and Rudy quite soft and weak. I think I like the strong consonant sounds!

Defo go for Torben then. It's a great strong name and not very common. Nice to recognise your heritage. Tor is a cool nn.

You being danish changes everything: Torben gets a thumbs up from me now. I had no idea it was Danish.

I love the name Asher (the Old Testament has the best names!) and Torben/Torbin. Asher William sounds great.

Rudy Willy' ...omg that's awful! Yep def don't have Rudy OP Shock

I like Asher & Dylan.

How do you know for sure it's a boy?
We had a huge list of girls names and only a few boys and it turned out to be a boy so had to agree quickly on something we both liked

Torben William is great!!!!
I have a cousin called tor, his mum has Scandinavian roots, so it makes a great name and nickname!

I like Dylan, Torben, Quentin and Reuben.

Reuben is my brother’s name, and whilst I totally love it as a name, we won’t go for it!

The list isn’t in order of preference, DH has veto’d Asher and Quinton, the latter I’m fine with, but I’m very sad about Asher 😬

He’s open, and indeed warming to Rudy, which was always the front runner for me.... so that’s a positive move. But he’s also asking me to consider Joaquin!!!

Girl’s name is India, with a very distinct family name as middle name, although I think it unlikely that we’ll have the chance to use it...we’re fairly confident (although admittedly not 100%) that we’re having a boy.
