Preparing a list to present to my DH for our (probably) son, due in 8wks. Ages. But not ages when DH and I have ABSOLUTELY no crossover! Girls name is sorted. This is our first and probs only bub.

So far, so please make suggestions!! 😊

Asher
Dylan
Rudi/Rudy
Torben
Quinton

Middle name will be William (both grandads are William, this we do agree on) but it wont be first name.

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
Pinkstulips · 04/09/2019 10:45

I think Torben is a great strong name! As is Quentin.

I find Asher and Rudy quite soft and weak. I think I like the strong consonant sounds!

courtlee · 04/09/2019 11:27

Love Asher and Dylan

diddlediddle · 04/09/2019 18:15

Defo go for Torben then. It's a great strong name and not very common. Nice to recognise your heritage. Tor is a cool nn.

AverageMummy · 04/09/2019 18:19

You being danish changes everything: Torben gets a thumbs up from me now. I had no idea it was Danish.

IckleBear · 04/09/2019 19:28

Torben William

thunderandsunshine01 · 04/09/2019 19:33

Shadow1234 · 04/09/2019 21:36

Poppydaisys · 05/09/2019 07:54

Asher - don't like, reminds me of cigarette ash
Dylan - nice but not with William
Torben - ok
Rudy - don't like the 'rude' sound
Quinton - like but prefer Quentin

MunsteadWood · 05/09/2019 08:02

I love the name Asher (the Old Testament has the best names!) and Torben/Torbin. Asher William sounds great.

Happygardenings · 05/09/2019 19:57

Torben and Quinton (although I prefer Quentin)

forevercurious · 05/09/2019 20:21

Dylan is my favourite out of your list :)

BooseysMom · 05/09/2019 20:33

Rudy Willy' ...omg that's awful! Yep def don't have Rudy OP Shock

I like Asher & Dylan.

How do you know for sure it's a boy?
We had a huge list of girls names and only a few boys and it turned out to be a boy so had to agree quickly on something we both liked

BooseysMom · 05/09/2019 20:36

Sorry just read you have the girls' list sorted already!

Atlasta · 05/09/2019 20:40

Torben

joystir59 · 05/09/2019 20:44

Asher is lovely. Prefer Quentin and think Quentin Williams flows well

Grufallosfriends · 05/09/2019 20:52

Rudy Willy GrinShock

Grufallosfriends · 05/09/2019 20:55

Agree that Quentin William sounds great.

Lebkuchenlovers · 05/09/2019 21:08

I like Dylan and Quentin (spelled like this)!

Hellokitty134 · 05/09/2019 22:27

Dylan or Quinton

Flowerspowersy · 06/09/2019 08:02

I like Dylan and Quentin/Quinn (prefer this spelling)

I dislike Rudy, especially in English (rude)

Sparklypurpleunicornsaremyfav · 06/09/2019 12:14

Torben William is great!!!!
I have a cousin called tor, his mum has Scandinavian roots, so it makes a great name and nickname!

NationMcKinley · 06/09/2019 12:18

Love Torben. Also like Asher. Rudy is nice too. Rickon is great as are Jude and Seth.

How about:-

Soren
Reuben
Silas
Rowan

Congratulations. What is the girl’s name that you’ve chosen?

Gummybearsy · 06/09/2019 14:37

I like Dylan, Torben, Quentin and Reuben.

devilishlygood · 08/09/2019 09:28

Reuben is my brother’s name, and whilst I totally love it as a name, we won’t go for it!

The list isn’t in order of preference, DH has veto’d Asher and Quinton, the latter I’m fine with, but I’m very sad about Asher 😬

He’s open, and indeed warming to Rudy, which was always the front runner for me.... so that’s a positive move. But he’s also asking me to consider Joaquin!!!

Girl’s name is India, with a very distinct family name as middle name, although I think it unlikely that we’ll have the chance to use it...we’re fairly confident (although admittedly not 100%) that we’re having a boy.
