Baby girl has finally arrived after being 10 days late! It was an intense yet quick labour but she’s here safe, sound and absolutely beautiful.

After meeting her, we’ve decided that she is either an Esme/Esmée, an Elena, an Edith or a Mabel and are completely torn!

I’d appreciate some final feedback on which of our combinations (seeing as none of these names actually made our final 3 list lol) work and what doesn’t? We can hopefully then narrow it down to help us chose. Many thanks!

Mabel Aurora
Mabel Beatrice
Mabel Beatrix

Elena Beatrice
Elena Beatrix
Elena Florence

Edith Aurora
Edith Florence

Esme/e Aurora
Esme/e Florence
Esme/e Lucia

Esme Aurora Niamh is beautiful.

joystir59 · 04/09/2019 14:13

Esme Florence

MissHenty · 04/09/2019 15:00

Can you let us know what you pic?? It’s infuriating that people never do!! 🤣

I wouldn’t worry too much about whether a middle name works with a first name. Even my best mates of 20 years I don’t know what their middle name is. I didn’t even know what my husbands middle name was until we’d been dating a few years- it’s really not important

It’s the first name that you’ll be using day in day out

I vote Elena Florence or Edith - all really lovely

MissHenty · 04/09/2019 15:00

*pick

MissHenty · 04/09/2019 15:01

Couldn’t care less what the middle name is. Just chose something with some meaning to you I think

Clettercletterthatsbetter · 04/09/2019 18:27

My favourites are:

Edith Florence
Mabel Beatrice
Mabel Aurora

Edith Florence - lovely with Violet. Congratulations!

Shadow1234 · 04/09/2019 21:40

Esme Aurora from your latest update, but I would have chosen Esme Lucia from the original list

Sparklypurpleunicornsaremyfav · 05/09/2019 18:09

I love love love the name Beatrice, I would use that as a first name eg Beatrice mabel. I have Niamh so a bit biased

CatsForLife · 05/09/2019 18:10

Edith Florence

KellyMarieTunstall2 · 05/09/2019 18:24

Congrats on your baby's safe arrivelFlowers
Sorry I don't like Esme or Mabel ( reminds me of the dog off blue peter)
I love Edith Florence. Edith is such a lovely grown up proper ladies name and be cutesied to Edie whilst she's little.

Jessi88 · 07/09/2019 17:32

Thanks everyone. Not exactly an option (lol) but we settled on Florence Aster Bríd.

Our eldest’s name holds a lot of meaning to us and it didn’t feel right not using names that weren’t in any way for this little girly too.

Please do not let internet randoms decide.....

Jessi88 · 07/09/2019 17:40

@Perunatop I find hearing internet random’s honest and unbiased opinions a very helpful way to reduce your options. We still picked our children’s names ourselves.

Fair enough, Florence is lovely!

ALoadOfTwaddle · 07/09/2019 18:45

I found that too, op- agonised over a shortlist then eventually picked one that wasn't even on it!

Sparklypurpleunicornsaremyfav · 07/09/2019 18:46

Beautiful name

Antonin · 07/09/2019 20:55

Elena Florence or Elena Beatrice.
Congratulations to you all.
Impatient for a pic to admire

mumsiedarlingrevolta · 07/09/2019 20:58

Def Edith for first name

was what I was going to type until I just refreshed and saw you picked already

your baby name is lovely

plus DD and I binge watching downton abbey so maybe thinking a violet and an edith best might be because of that...

Antonin · 07/09/2019 20:58

I was slow posting.
Love your choice. You really do have a FAB baby girl!!!

MrsBertBibby · 07/09/2019 21:02

Edith Florence.

Esme and Mabel are dreary, dowdy names. Edith is lovely. Elena Florence is a reasonable second.

LucieFurr · 07/09/2019 21:05

Edith Florence
