I have lots of Dutch acquaintances called Saskia. Some very nice women. It's a good name.

And their professions range from pychologist to NGO staff so no hairdressers or beauticians as suggest upthread. Not that there is anything at all wrong with those jobs!

It's not a common name despite what people are saying - it's number 680 in 2018 stats and it is declining not increasing in popularity - and I like it. Go for it.
