Brother For Percy

So I already have a son called Percy. I chose his name because it was different but not too out there it was old fashioned but not a common old fashioned name. I don't want the type of name that you would find on a keyring in a suveiner shop.
I adore the name Rupert for the same reason but OH is adamant that name is out 😭
I just can't find another name that fits with Percy's that meets all my criteria lol.

@kenandbarbie I know! I really wanted a key ring or a bookmark with my name on when I was 12. Could never find one. I guess I got over it. I think at least 2 if not 3 of my children would struggle to find key rings with their name on. Ah well...

I have a Rupert and came on here to suggest it. I chose my son's name for the same reasons as you, my OH also wasn't keen but once he was born the name suited him. Good luck, it's so difficult picking a boys name!

Honestly thankyou so much everyone for all of your replies.

Love the other Harry Potter inspired names 😍 massive fan. Rupert is after Rupert Grint he's my favourite haha

Have been reading through all of them and will keep looking them over.

The need for a less common names is because I shared my name with 8 other girls in my year!!! Always hated how my parents were so unoriginal.

We went on holiday one year with a family and their sons were called Hugo, Cosmo and Huckleberry. The names made me smile.

mumtobe1984 · 28/08/2019 09:55

Bertie or Georgie 💙

Grufallosfriends · 28/08/2019 10:48

You really can't have Percy and Bertie - they sound so similar, try saying them quickly together.

I like

Pig

7Worfs · 28/08/2019 13:21

Any from the Jeeves & Wooster novels (Bertram, Reginald, Augustus, Hildebrand, Wilberforce, Darcy, Roderick, etc)

Or another of King Arthur’s knights ( I like Gawain and Tristan)

BlueberryPoppy123 · 28/08/2019 22:42

@helpmeiamatoad really don't think pig is a suitable name for a child :/

It's so hard as lots of the lovely names some people are suggesting are in my family already as we all seem to like the old fashioned names lol.
Like Walter Kenneth Earnest Arthur Toby...
