Surname very simple one syllable.

What do people think?

OP posts:
Justmuddlingalong · 23/08/2019 22:21

Is it a name? Even Google is drawing a blank.

1066vegan · 23/08/2019 22:26

Is this a wind-up?

joystir59 · 23/08/2019 22:39

It is a name my school friend told me about years ago that has stuck in my mind. I really like it but have never heard of anyone being called it. What do you think?

Peanutbuttericecream · 23/08/2019 22:40

It’s sounds bloody awful, like the name for a constipation remedy.

SallyLovesCheese · 23/08/2019 22:42

My first thought was it looks and sounds like sauce.

theministryhasfallen · 23/08/2019 22:45

How are you pronouncing it?

Saw-gay-see-a?
Saw-garcia?

1066vegan · 23/08/2019 22:50

Looks too much like sausage.

Alloftit · 23/08/2019 22:51

God that’s truly bloody hideous

Vasya · 23/08/2019 22:51

Truly terrible. Sorry!

SpinsterOfArts · 23/08/2019 22:58

Sagacia, as an invented virtue-name? Confused

joystir59 · 23/08/2019 23:05

Pronounced Saw-gay-see-a

🙈 I always try and be positive but OP are you having a laugh/pregnancy hormones/insane?

SallyWD · 23/08/2019 23:07

It's really awful. An ugly sound and looks like sausage.

CarrieBlu · 23/08/2019 23:07

Sounds like something a supermarket would name their cheapo sausages to make them look fancier.

CarrieBlu · 23/08/2019 23:08

And I agree with all PP, it’s bloody awful. Looks and sounds ugly. Sorry OP!

joystir59 · 23/08/2019 23:09

Ok, I admit, its a pure wind up. I made the name up when I was a teenager writing silly stories. Saugacia was a character- she was a flea who lived on someone's scalp. I just wanted to get my own back on all those threads when someone proposes calling their poor child something truly hideous, 'McKayla' being a recent example. Sorry everyone, please forgive me. It's Friday, I've had a glass of wine and I was a bit bored.

Letthemysterybe · 23/08/2019 23:12

HMM it depends.......Where is the emphasis placed?

Is it just equal Saw-gay-see-a
Or Saw-GAY-see-a
Or Saw-gay-SEE-a

joystir59 · 23/08/2019 23:14

Saw-GAY-see-a, I think

OP posts:
AreWeAnywhereNear · 23/08/2019 23:17

Thank god for that 🤦🏻‍♀️

You never know these days...

MoaningMinnie1 · 23/08/2019 23:18

Peanutbuttericecream
It’s sounds bloody awful, like the name for a constipation remedy.

Senna is a far nicer name ;).

If someone wanted the opposite, Imo or Dium might suit.

joystir59 · 23/08/2019 23:20

How does Saugacia sound like a constipation remedy?

OP posts:
joystir59 · 23/08/2019 23:21

I like Senna

JoxerGoesToStuttgart · 23/08/2019 23:24

Well that’s definitely “special” Grin

Glad to see it’s not a genuine name.

Not sure how this gets anyone back though? Confused
