One of those is my daughters name. We love it and surprisingly, so does everyone else.

I always suspected we might get a bit of backlash from it when people asked her name but only ever have very positive comments. She does have a very girly middle name so if there is any confusion about her sex we throw this in the mix too.

I was told she was the gift that kept on giving when someone called her a gorgeous baby boy and I corrected them then they asked her name Grin. Also a bit confusing when wearing green or blue which she seems to more often than you would think.

Oh and to add another one - Stevie. Love that too.

Taylor, Blake, Blaine, Dylan,

There are a lot of, usually boys, names that are fine on girls; Alfi (Alfrida), Tommy (Thomasina), Bertie (Roberta), Stevie, Ali (Alice). Jude, Phil..
I like them too, but then I’m really not a fan of very feminine names.

Billie, Bobbie and Jaime are all girls names. I’m sure someone will have a go at me for saying this but I think they’re all quite chavvy names, though Bobbie as a nickname for Roberta as it’s meant to be would be alright.
Georgie is a nickname not a name, at least go with Georgia or Georgina and use a nickname.

James is becoming popular for girls.
My daughter has a traditional female name but still could be mistaken for a boy unless she was wearing head to toe pink. People just make a random guess and hope they haven't offended you.

Our surname is Stevens so maybe not Stevie ;-)

Ah yes Stevie Stevens would be pretty funny!

Judging by some of the previous comments this will go down like a lead balloon but I quite like Jordan, there was a Jordan in the MAU when dd was delivered and I liked that it stood out but wasn't ridiculous iyswim.

Spencer! Love this but may well be because I'm a huge Pretty Little Liars fan and one of the females is called Spencer.

whattodo2019 · 14/08/2019 08:38

Tomasina- Tommy is my favourite

BertrandRussell · 14/08/2019 08:39

Please can someone explain why they would call their girl James but they would not call their boy Jane.

tripletmum8 · 14/08/2019 08:44

For some reason I absolutely love Logan. There’s also:
Stevie
Blake
Ellis
Eden
Rowan
James as a middle name
Alberta
Spencer
Riley
Robyn
Hayden

FernPotts · 14/08/2019 08:44

I haven’t heard of a male Jane, but there have been several historical blokes called Anne or Anna.

tripletmum8 · 14/08/2019 08:45

KatnissK my step-daughter was obsessed with PLL so I started watching it to and I think I now love Spencer for a girl because of that show.

whatausername · 14/08/2019 08:47

@BertrandRusell probably because it is insulting to be thought of as a girl but not insulting to be thought of us a boy. It's like how we can wear jeans and shirts but Heaven forbid a man wears a skirt and blouse.

BertrandRussell · 14/08/2019 08:51

@BertrandRusell probably because it is insulting to be thought of as a girl but not insulting to be thought of us a boy”
Exactly. So why perpetuate it?
