Middle name - Bloom or Posie?

We're in a naming dilemma, she is being registered today so we need to make a decision! Her first name is going to be Nova but we're stuck on the middle name, Posie works better with our nickname for her but I still love Bloom, so which works better..

Nova Bloom or Nova Posie?

Nova Bloom sounds amazing! Congrats 😊 I love the name Nova!

Colourfulest · 12/08/2019 14:58

Do you really want her nn to be bloomers or even new bloomers?

LOL! That would never happen 😂 nobody says bloomers anymore and kids won't know that Nova means new.

curlyhairkindacare · 12/08/2019 17:04

Prefer Posie to Bloom but not sure it flows.

How about Nova Blossom?

FurrySlipperBoots · 12/08/2019 17:07

Blossom would be massively better. Bloom to me sounds like a mixture between 'Blooming', as in something you say when frustrated or angry, and 'BOOM!' as in, explosion.

missmouse101 · 12/08/2019 17:10

What did you go with OP?

Frith2013 · 12/08/2019 18:18

Bloom is awful. It’s what happens to ponds when that hazardous blue green algae takes over.

And it makes me think of Godfrey Bloom, Conservative MP and all round prat.

TatianaLarina · 12/08/2019 20:03

Posy for first name. Nova is an old Vauxhall.

EyeDrops · 12/08/2019 20:04

Nova Bloom sounds better of the two!

I wouldnt mind that Posie flows better with the nickname (which is cute!) - how often would you ever say the two together?!

user1493494961 · 12/08/2019 20:54

All hideous.

Malvinaa81 · 14/08/2019 17:54

Not very pleasant names, and would have to be abandoned when she grew up anyway.

AlwaysSunshine81 · 14/08/2019 22:41

I love bloom and posie, it’s a hard choice!
Nova bloom sounds nice!
What did u decide?

Vivi890 · 15/08/2019 01:53

“Not very pleasant names, and would have to be abandoned when she grew up anyway.”

What utter nonsense. Ridiculous thing to say. As if everyone who isn’t called John or Elizabeth changes their names to something more boring as soon as they possibly can 🙄

helpmeiamatoad · 15/08/2019 01:57

I have never in my entire life heard Bloom used as a name! But thinking about it it is actually quite cute!

verystressedmum · 15/08/2019 02:14

Nova is something to do with stars. I like the suggestion Nova Skye

diddlediddle · 15/08/2019 07:39

Don't be a tease OP - what did you choose??

Cyberworrier · 15/08/2019 07:48

Tbf, Nova does sound like a car. As it means New it is associated with a lot of products. I agree with PP that it would be good for one name to be more of a name, in case she wants to be able to use her mm day to day and more unusual ones don’t really give her options. Has no one said Po is short for potty? Also bleeding Telly Tubby? Bloom makes me think of creepy older people making teenagers feel uncomfortable by saying, my my you are blooming aren’t you. I don’t think it’s very pretty (also makes me think of Bialystok and Bloom in the Producers). I think Violet etc would be much more elegant and less cutesy cutesy(combined with futuristic car name 🤷‍♀️)

Carpetburns · 15/08/2019 07:54

Poor kid. Truly dreadful name.

littlemissalwaystired · 15/08/2019 08:02

I'm afraid it just makes me think of Bloom & Nora reusable sanitary towels, but I suppose that's not the first thought of the general population so you might be okayGrin

LegoPiecesEverywhere · 15/08/2019 23:04

Nova Elizabeth
