Looking for ideas for girls names who will be a sibling to Maisie.
We have agreed a boys name but can't agree on girls names! I like poppy but dh cousin called their dog that recently so that is out. So far the closest we can agree on is Zoe which is nice but doesn't give us the same feeling we had when we had Maisie. Thanks!

Why not Poppy?? If you like it, go for it. I really think we spend too long agonising over things like 'such and such had that name and I didn't like them' or 'that name's been taken' etc. Ultimately the only thing that matters is if you like it. Life moves on in so many other aspects, but your children are constant. I got so cranked up when a friend named their daughter the same name as ours less than a month after she was born. But now I still love her name, it's special to me and it really doesn't matter about anything else.

Who cares what the dog is called? If you like the name then go for it. Especially if you really love the name. Other than that, what about Violet or Rose for the names?

If you really like Poppy then go for it. It doesn't matter about the cousin's dog.
