Will Angus always be “Gus”?

I love the name Angus, but really dislike Gus, which I’m worried it would always be shortened to?

I also like Hamish. Any other names of that type that I might like?

Actually the only Gus I've known was actually called Gavin. Go figure...

I know one Angus who was always known as Angus...ironically he had a brother called Hamish which I’ve seen is one of your other favourites.
