MIddle name for Charlotte?

I think we're pretty much decided on Charlotte for DD, but we've found it really difficult to agree even on that and we're now struggling for a middle name. So much so that DH is muttering about not giving her one at all, which I am not on board with!

I like classic names, nothing too out there or modern, but DH thinks names like Grace, Rose etc are 'boring'. So we need something in the middle. We also have quite a long complicated surname so we're looking for something fairly short!

Please give me some inspiration, I've been trawling websites and baby boards but just can't find anything that seems quite right!

I like Charlotte Elise (I think the sound combination is lovely!)
Charlotte Maryse would work, too. Or Charlotte Rosamund.

What's the point of overthinking middle name. Surely it's very rarely used, child goes by first name (or nickname) 🤔 good first name and honour family (mother, grandmother etc) with middle name

I know a Charlotte Clare, known as Charlotte to work colleagues, Charlie to school friends, Charl to family and CC to her best friend.

I didn’t give dds middle names either - and I’ve never used mine apart from my passport 😂 and now you don’t even use them on flights so why have one?

That aside, it doesn’t matter how long it is / I’ve literally not written mine out for a good 20 years so it’s irrelevant length wise surely?

I’d go for Charlotte And then a family member

I’m named after nan and my middle is my great nan but even so I don’t use it

Thanks again for all the brilliant suggestions. I really love some of them so am just going to have to wear DH down.

Those of you saying I'm being silly worrying about this, you're entitled to your opinion but why bother posting? I know I'm probably overthinking it but my daughter's name is important to me, and I want her to have a middle name (as my son does, and all the rest of our family). I was only looking for suggestions, which most people have been so kind and so brilliant about.

Ignore the grumps @peasando - enjoy your new Charlotte. I love mine very much, particularly as she made me Viennese whirls last night!

We have as much time and consideration into the middle name as we did the first so I understand the importance too Smile
