What do people think of this as a name in itself... partner doesn’t like Josiah and I don’t like Jocelyn but I do like joss.

What do you think ?

I really like it.

For joss Ackland alone I love the name. Like it.

Doyoumind · 16/07/2019 18:21

It's short for Jocelyn.

I really like Joss as a name, and I think it definitely has more of a male feel to it- for a girl it definitely feels more like a nickname.

I think Joss is fine as the full name on the birth certificate if you want it, to me it stands up to the high court judge test and sounds appropriate at any age.

I really like it too. I would use it as short for Joseph, or short for Josephine for a girl.

I love it! It would be on our shortlist but surname begins with s Sad

I know a Joss. He is one of life's loveliest, kindest people. There should be more Josses in the world!

BuffaloCauliflower · 21/07/2019 21:02

I’ve liked it since I knew a (male) Joss has a teenager. Can be short for Joseph or Josiah but I think works just fine on its own too.

Love it
