What sounds better for a middle name? Any ideas too?

So my partner and I have a few name options. We're sticking with the first name (and obviously the last name) But it's the middle name we're stuck on.

I like James best from your list but James is almost the default middle name.

Leo(n) Ralph is my favourite, I love Ralph.

If Gray is the father's family surname, how about a middle name from the mother's side of the family?
