Penelope. I love the full name and like the nicknames.

Penelope

Ophelia— both are beautiful names but I’ve always had a personal problem with Penelope being the archetype of loyalty when Odysseus was so unfaithful to her...double standards! Ophelia may have had a tragic end in Hamlet but she’s a fascinating character. Best of luck with your choice!

Don’t like either but Ophelia... she (or he) ophelia your balls lately, so many puns and kids are nasty little humans

I prefer the suggestion of Persephone a pp has made.

But of the two you’ve asked about, Penelope.

Ophélia, I had it down for Ds2, should have used it for DD2 instead of what we did. It’s beautiful.

Ophelia has a lovely sound to it, but I can't think of any nn other than; offie, lia (lie-her/lee-ha/liar). I personally wouldn't feel a small child could rock Ophelia, it seems more a statement name at 25/30. Just my opinion. Penelope has lovely child/adult mileage.

Have you not considered the best of both with Penelope Ophelia? Which has a very nice flow to it.
