DESPERATE NEED OF GIRL NAMES

Help in need of two baby girl names...

After struggling with infertility my husband and I decided to adopt. Which is where we got our beautiful little girl, Averie Estelle. We are currently 32 weeks pregnant with our baby girl Norah Elizabeth. We where recently informed Averie’s birth mother was expecting twin girls around the same time as us, and she wanted us to adopt them. Of course we said yes, but with only a few weeks notice we are struggling to find names. Are doctors are arranging for us to deliver (c-section) on the same day, beginning of August.

  • names that are unique
    • Common names with unique spelling
    • uncommon names

@00100001

In private adoption, you can choose the family, parent(s) to raise your infant/child. You can meet them prior to the placement of your infant/child. If you have made a private adoption plan prior to giving birth, the adoptive parents typically take the baby home directly from the hospital. As long as birth mother agrees, and your attorney or placing agency has made the arrangements, most hospitals will allow the adopting parents to visit with the baby as soon as the baby has been medically cleared after birth.

Even though it is short notice we do believe that this is what we were meant to do. We are financially stable, and will be able provide these babies with a wonderful life. By taking in the children we will also be giving Averie biological siblings which we never thought we could do.

Yes, they are trying to schedule our c-section on the same day therefore as soon as the twins are cleared the can be transferred over no bond with Norah and the family. Our doctors believe that by placing the twins with Norah immediately after birth will give them a closer bond.

We also live in Canada, so our laws may be different than yours in the UK

OP I think you must be in the states - use of the word "attorney" - so I guess things are a bit different there than the U.K. I hope it all goes really well for you all

"I’m slightly baffled at everyone giving their opinions on the adoption when they don’t know the full situation nor was it requested by OP"

it's because the entire situation is impossible... in the UK, so seemed a bit... trolly.

**Maybe you should have mentioned you live in Canada at the beginning.... Hmm

Perhaps it’s none of your business!!!

Women post on MN asking for names for ‘babies that they might have one day with this guy who just started working at my office...’ or ‘we just started talking about having a baby and now I need to work out a name...’!

And in any case, you are unlikely to be any kind of adoption specialist, so maybe you just didn’t cast your google net wide enough to research adoption practise thoroughly.

Stick to the questions you MIGHT know the answer to, or go do something useful.

Wow that's amazing of you!! How lucky are they!

What about.. Wren & Betsy?

Good luck with everything xx

rosyedith · 08/07/2019 16:56

@00100001 what does it matter where the hell she lives, she's not asking for your opinion on her choices she is simply asking for opinions on NAMES! What's wrong with you?

Kaytie14 · 30/07/2019 19:38

We have to decided to name baby “a” Saydee Elaine, but still can’t find the perfect fit for baby “b”. These are some of our top choices:

Ophelia
Madeleine
Vivienne
Evaeh ( uh - veh -uh ) open to different spelling HUSBANDS FAV
Cosette

We are still open to names, if you feel you have some to share. Other wise please share your opinions on the names above, as well as appropriate middle names that start with “E”.

Thank you so much for all your help.

Champy87 · 31/07/2019 03:47

My favourite out of those above would be Madeline or Vivienne although I think Madeline goes better with Saydee. Your name options for baby “B” seem longer visually and syllabically so I would choose a shorter “E” like Eva or Elise.

Kaytie14 · 31/07/2019 13:05

@Champy87 ya, I’m liking the middle name Elise
