June... running out of time!

So I'm 41+1 with a girl we were going to name June but I'm running out of time to birth her! Grin

We had agreed on Megan June after my grandma - Megan Jane. It just fit our family and felt right and lovely but now baby is not budging and I'm doing everything!

Our other option is:
Megan Hâf (Welsh for summer)

We're worried about Hâf's pronunciation, but for a middle name it doesn't really matter does it? Would you go with June even if she was born in July and just say it's a funny story?

Also any stories of first labours going from intermittent latent phase (sweep yesterday confirmed 1-2cm, thinned, favourable, but posterior, bloody show / plug lost this morning) to fully birthed in 10.5 hours would be appreciated Grin

Haha I literally just posted a similar question with regards to births past due dates! 40+5 right now and going mad!!!!!

But I’m answer to your question.... I LOVE the name June and was devastated when my due date was in June because I thought it was way too twee to use it. So I was the opposite. I’d be more inclined to use June on the other 11 months. Go ahead with June I say ☺️

As it happens, expecting a boy, so no June here anyway!

Just call her June! It’s her middle name so isn’t as important. I think Megan June sounds lovely together

Divgirl2 · 30/06/2019 13:39

Hâf would be a beautiful middle name (I'm assuming it's pronounced haav but I'm not Welsh). And you could still use June - that could be her interesting fact at those horrible office team building exercises. Or Juno?

I went from absolutely not in labour to having a baby in my arms in 6 hours so it's possible.

Megan June is lovely regardless of when she's born! I also love Megan Juniper.

Good luck op SmileFlowers.

Nah “no I wasn’t born in June but I was supposed to be” is still just as cute

HB2019 · 30/06/2019 15:41

Thanks all, I'm glad Megan June has gone down so well. 8hrs to go!

My daughter is called Florence Elizabeth May. We chose May as she was due 15th May and we though if she was late or early her birthday would be in May. She was three weeks early!

She's 22 now and still loves to tell why her birthday is in April but she's called May.

Call her June.

I would go with Megan Haf if you are Welsh.
June as a middle name when you are born in July is a bit crap. How about Megan Juno instead? Megan Jane is nice.

MikeUniformMike · 30/06/2019 18:53

Hâf will get Harve or Haff. It's pretty.

Firsttimemama2017 · 30/06/2019 19:32

My cousins middle name is June and she was born in May! Go for it!

AnonymousP · 30/06/2019 20:24

Just say she was due in June if you need a link, although it would never occur to me than a June should be born in that month. Megan June is lovely. Good luck!

Owlbert · 30/06/2019 20:38

June is lovely! I would still use it and it gives her another lovely story to go with her name! Good luck!

I think it's absolutely fine to use June. How about Summer as middle name?
