Expecting DC#2, still quite early but down to 2 names each, sibling is Matilda (Tilly)...

For boy...
Atticus (Kit) my favourite
Arthur (Artie) DH favourite

For girl...
Eloise (Elle or Lou) DH favourite
Eliza (Elle) my favourite

Very similar names I know but we’re kind of at a stalemate! Which do you prefer?

aibutohavethisusername · 29/06/2019 22:49

Eloise and Arthur

INeedAFlerken · 29/06/2019 23:23

Arthur is awful, just awful, imo,, so Atticus by default. Not convinced 'Kit' works with it, though, as a nn.

Eliza for a girl.

Enko · 29/06/2019 23:27

Atticus (though don't like the Kit nm)
Eloise

But what about Eloisa ?

Sophronia · 29/06/2019 23:32

Arthur and Eliza

Prettylittlelady · 29/06/2019 23:34

Atticus or Eliza

veeboo · 30/06/2019 06:42

Arthur and Eliza. So you get one each! Artie is adorable.

tdam · 30/06/2019 07:03

Atticus/Elouise! And use whatever nicknames you like. I think Kit and Lou are cute.

tdam · 30/06/2019 07:03

*Eloise sorry.

Peachbubble · 30/06/2019 09:03

Arthur and Eliza

Owlbert · 30/06/2019 20:53

Atticus and Eloise, but I hate the nickname Lou, always makes my think of someone on the toilet!

Puppilongstrumpf · 30/06/2019 21:37

Lou sounds like Loo 🚽 Shock

mollpop · 30/06/2019 21:51

Atticus and Eliza. I love the name Atticus

ABitOTT · 01/07/2019 07:04

Kit/Atticus - the nickname is a stretch but why not?
Eloise is beautiful. Could end up being a Lulu & there is no letter U in Eloise, yet that still works

Botanica · 01/07/2019 08:16

The other three are lovely but Atticus???
Probably one of the most pretentious names I have heard.

Reminds me of being in the doctor's surgery and a loud performance parenting mother shouting 'Atticus! Atticus!'... every single person in that room was either smirking or rolling their eyes.

There are so many other better names to go for.

Poetryinaction · 02/07/2019 00:41

Artie and Lou.

Pemba · 02/07/2019 04:02

Atticus and Eloise.

Not absolutely sold on Atticus but it's nicer than Arthur which is so little-old-manish and unaccountably popular at the moment.

I like Eliza too but Eloise is just so gorgeous. I think of the song.

Wow, what narrow minded people live in your community. The poor children of these parents, great role models Hmm. I'm glad I don't live there!

Atticus is a fine name. Strong, classic and not overused.

raskolnikova · 02/07/2019 08:47

Atticus and Eliza.

I don't think they need nicknames though.

raskolnikova · 02/07/2019 09:04

If you both like Elle as a nickname wouldn't it make more sense to just call her that (Eliza is still nicer though)?

Mum2Be36 · 02/07/2019 09:09

I love Arthur and Eliza
