Which do you prefer?

Seren

PattedPlont · 26/06/2019 19:19

In Wales you can't move for Serens. Violet is sweet. Aren't opals unlucky?

Vinorosso74 · 26/06/2019 19:19

I like Violet. Seren is nice enough but I prefer Serena.

KaliforniaDreamz · 26/06/2019 19:22

Have you considered Pearl?
i love Violet.

Sweetooth92 · 26/06/2019 19:23

I do love how on every single name thread OP asks A,B or C and without fail some ‘helpful’ people have to chirp up with options D, E & F because the OP’s choices aren’t what they would make
🤦‍♀️
All three are beautiful OP but I like Opal the most as it’s a lot less frequent. But still easy to pronounce/spell and elegant

OldAndWornOut · 26/06/2019 19:25

I love Opal.
I'm aware its a name, but I have never heard it used as one before, and I'm really struck by how pretty it is.

Showchin2 · 26/06/2019 19:25

Seren 😍

SushiForBreakfast · 26/06/2019 19:26

Violet

gassylady · 26/06/2019 19:26

Another for Seren

AnonymousP · 26/06/2019 19:30

Violet.

Don’t like Opal but I do like Pearl.

Don’t like Seren but do like Merryn/Mirren.

Stuckforthefourthtime · 26/06/2019 19:33

Seren by a mile. Violet is cute but feels a bit on trend at the moment. Opals as a stone are meant to signify tears.

Sagradafamiliar · 26/06/2019 19:48

I am so very sorry for 'chirping up' with my 'helpful' comment, sweet. I'm sure OP can cope with another suggestion, there are many other replies. I'm sure mine hasn't ruined her day.

SnowdropFox · 26/06/2019 20:02

I'd vote Opal, I like the unusalness of it. After that Seren and Violet. Like all three to be honest.

I do like the suggestion of Pearl but the alternative meaning of a "Pearl necklace" has ruined it for me!

BoronationStreet · 26/06/2019 20:03

Violet 🙌🏼

Casmama · 26/06/2019 20:07

Violet then Seren.

Peitho · 26/06/2019 20:11

Out of the three I'd probably go for Violet.

Seren seem really faddy and likely to date quite quickly. Opal might be a grower but I'm not convinced.

Pearl is dreadful. They are always vinegary faced horrors.

Peitho · 26/06/2019 20:12

Don't pearls signify tears rather than opals? Or is it both?

taylorlynn · 26/06/2019 20:13

Violet is the new Luna in terms of popularity. Love Seren

Peitho · 26/06/2019 20:17

Seren is more of a Luna name I'd have thought

Seren
Luna
Willow
Wren
Juniper

all in the same bracket for me, modern nature names.

Pixilicious · 26/06/2019 20:23

I know a Seren who I’m not fond of.
Violet for sure.

IamPickleRick · 26/06/2019 20:26

Seren. Loved it. Wanted it. Had boys.

Opal would be Opawl where we are from because of the London accent. Also it’s a bit too Steven Universe to name your child after a gem.

MrsBertBibby · 26/06/2019 20:45

Opal fruits! Made to make your mouth water!

I very much prefer Seren.

Hippopotas · 26/06/2019 20:56

I like Opal

boredboredboredboredbored · 26/06/2019 21:53

Seren won't date it's a classic welsh name that's been around for donkeys years.

Are you in Wales op?

Peitho · 26/06/2019 22:01

Siobhan is a classic Irish name. It's pretty dated right now.
