Please critique my list!

Please give your opinions on the following names for our second DC, we already have a DS called Reuben. Any suggestions also welcome:

Jasper - personally love it, my DP vetoed because of Jasper Carrot
Henry- love it, big fan
Ellis- not a fan, it’s a surname
Jude- my son’s name, great choice
Ezra - like it, very popular Hebrew name
Elliot- not a big fan
Max - dog name
Louis- it’s ok
Chester- dog name
Hugo- not a fan

Sylvie - old lady
Violet - love this
Edith (nn. Edie)- huge fan
Ada- my personal favourite girls name
Elodie - ok
Lily - not keen
Harriet- ok
Eliza- not keen

I like all the boys’ names except Jasper.

I don’t like your girls’ names sorry especially Violet, Edith and Ada.

Jasper - not keen
Henry - lovely
Ellis - I think of this as a girl's name (because of Greys Anatomy)
Jude - nice
Ezra - v trendy at the mo
Elliot - lovely
Max - meh
Louis - nice
Chester - not keen
Hugo - nice

Sylvie - no
Violet - I always misread this as violent
Edith (nn. Edie) - nice
Ada - not keen
Elodie - beautiful
Lily - nice but vastly overused
Harriet - good strong name
Eliza - prefer Elizabeth

My DS is Jude and have heard only heard of a couple of them.

My DGM's church was St Jude's - so she was always keen; the patron saint of hopeless causes

Jasper dogs name.
Henry - probably aspirational looking at your other choices.
Ellis - Awful
Jude - worst of the lot for at least three reasons
Ezra - awful
Elliot - awful
Max -ok
Louis - ok
Chester - see Jude
Hugo - see Chester

Sylvie - no but sylvia lovely
Violet Nice
Edith (nn. Edie) - nice
Ada - not keen - too similar to Ava the ubiquitous - (Braun , Laff )
Elodie - no
Lily - nice but vastly overused
Harriet - good strong name
Eliza - prefer Elizabeth
Louisa?

Jasper - quite like but makes me think of a cat
Henry - quite bland
Ellis - dislike
Jude - quite like but popular locally
Ezra - same as Jude
Elliot - like
Max - dislike
Louis - bland

Hugo - dislike

Sylvie - dislike
Violet - is fine
Edith (nn. Edie) - like but know quite a few, prefer just Edie
Ada - not a fan
Elodie - prefer Eloise
Lily - like
Harriet - dislike

Jasper- love it! Unique and strong but also quite classic. I would use this myself
Henry- Nice and strong but very popular
Ellis- too surname-y
Jude- hey Jude. Also a bit feminine
Ezra- not keen
Elliot- really really dislike. A bit ‘wet’
Max- ok
Louis- really don’t like it
Chester- no
Hugo- nice

Sylvie- not keen. Prefer Sylvia
Violet- lovely!
Edith (nn. Edie)- bit drab and frumpy
Ada- not keen
Elodie- dislike
Lily- I know it’s so popular but I absolutely love this name! One of the few names that’s popularity wouldn’t put me off!
Harriet- not keen at all
Eliza- really beautiful

I like Jasper, Henry, Lily, Eliza and Violet

From your list I love Jude, Ezra, Edith, Elodie, Lily and Eliza.
From your list I dislike Jasper, Ellis, Sylvie and Ada.
