What will Nico’s brother or sister be called?!

DD is 18m and her new sibling will be with us in October! The name pool is currently non existent!

Nico was the only girl’s name on our list & I’d had it in the back of my mind for years.

I like unusual-ish names (i liked that there were only 7 girl Nicos on the ONS spreadsheet before ours was born!) but my husband wouldn’t agree to anything too out there. It must flow with Nico & also a one syllable surname (so in my mind needs to be 2+ syllables!)

He has ruled out Quinn/Indie/Pearl for a girl & Rafael/Roman/Indie/Enzo for a boy amongst others. I’m cool with this as it’s important we’re both 100% as we were with our previous two names! (Haven’t found out sex either time)

So basically looking for some inspo from a wider field.....

I will be considering Maika for my next DD. I did a thread about this name recently but spelt Maike (it's a German/Dutch name) and it's pronounced like the boys names Micah (so mike-ah).

There are barely any in the UK. There were only 5 born with my dd's name in 2017 so I'm like you 😁 love a rare name!

Oh and my favorite name for a boy is Koa.

@PanGalaticGargleBlaster had no prior knowledge of this Nico... she was named after a cool Nico in a mid noughties sex in the city esque programme! (In my memories she was cool, still need to go back and check, but it’s not on netflix!)

Ah, I've just clocked your Nico is a girl. Velvet Underground's Nico is the only female Nico I've heard of previously. Cool name.
