Opinions on girls name shortlist

Hi, I’m really struggling with girls names. I would like a name that works well for a child as well as an adult that isn’t too common (although I appreciate that my names are a bit average) We have a difficult to pronounce surname so don’t want anything to difficult to spell or say. What do you think? Any other suggestions are also welcome

I love Fern! So sweet but also not too cutesy or popular.

Also like Iris and Erin.

Ooh Canone I like Edith and Cora the best from your list.

Moon i was actually thinking of Elizabeth as a middle name if it goes with the rest of the name.

Charlotte- don’t like.
Emily-OK but dull
Erin- good but only if you have Irish links. I wouldn’t consider it otherwise.
Robyn- awful.
Fern- nice.
Georgia-no, downmarket and dated.

How about Vera, Verity, Emma?

Well, I think it’s a bit...odd. I similarly object to names like India. Erin isn’t as obvious, though. Lots of people see nothing awry, however, so maybe it’s just me.

Felicity don't like flick
Charlotte it's ok and Lottie is nice as a nn
Emily very boring
Erin nice, pretty name
Robyn little bit try hard
Fern horrible sound & harsh name
Georgia ok not great

Erin is my favourite from your list.

Felicity- meh
Charlotte- ok. Traditional but a bit lacklustre
Emily- very 90s to me.
Erin- meh
Robyn- no
Fern- really don’t like it!!
Georgia- I think this will date

I love Fern because I watch too much Arthur with the kids and it's the name of a lovely character. Felicity is nice as well (Arrow). I think I need to back away from the television.

Fern is beautiful. Very soft and pretty without being twee. I also really like Iris and Robyn. Great list!

I love your choices! I would personally go for Erin, Robyn or Georgia but I love most of the names on your list!
