No.

I LOVE it, but it doesn't work in the UK. I also love Barbie but that doesn't work in UK either. So I guess my imaginary American twins are Bambi and Barbie.

Moonflower12 · 25/05/2019 22:01

And poor Bambi loses his mummy!

Saddest film ever.

It also makes me think of the very athletic girl villain in one of the Bond films.

CarolDanvers · 25/05/2019 22:04

Eh?!

No.

Proseccofuelled · 25/05/2019 22:05

Terrible
If you have to I’d have it as a nickname - not sure what for though maybe Amber

3luckystars · 25/05/2019 22:07

Bambidextrous

LightDrizzle · 25/05/2019 22:08

”Stripper or prey” Grin
I think people should always steer clear of names that conjure a particular type. Stripper associations aside, Bambi conjures a leggy gangly, doe-eyed ingenue. Your daughter may grow up to be a stolid, tiny-eyed tax accountant working for a big city firm. I can virtually guarantee she’ll have changed her name by deed poll and excommunicated you by then.
She will also hopefully only spend about 20% of her life as a child and very young adult, so don’t choose cutesy names that work for a toddler, choose a name that works for all ages and pick a nickname/ short version for infancy.

3luckystars · 25/05/2019 22:08

3luckystars · 25/05/2019 22:09

BumandChips · 25/05/2019 22:11

Bambiguous

Preggers86 · 25/05/2019 22:13

How about Aladdin after all it is a whole new world we live in.

Dreamzcancometrue · 25/05/2019 22:14

Sounds like a stripper name to be honest.

Hairwizard · 25/05/2019 22:16

No. Just. No. Fuck no. Nope.

Casmama · 25/05/2019 22:21

Please put this mad idea down to pregnancy hormones and don't even consider it

FromDespairToHere · 25/05/2019 22:25

Definitely a stripper name.

Lilybeth91 · 25/05/2019 22:26

You can’t name a baby Bambi

Tana433 · 25/05/2019 22:32

Dont like it, sorry. My dd is threatening to call her 1st baby Simba whether its a boy or a girl. Thank god shes only 12 at the moment!

Joeybee · 25/05/2019 23:18

Too cutesy and not a name that could grow with a person. No-one is going to take a Bambi seriously as an adult.

heartyrebel · 25/05/2019 23:19

I joking called my bump this through my pregnancy to wind up my friends. They all said it was a stripper name.

Crunchymum · 25/05/2019 23:55

"The name Bambi"

It's not a name Confused

Frittata · 26/05/2019 00:44

Dear, deer, deer....

GrinGrin

GrannyHaddock · 26/05/2019 06:58

You could only get away with it by naming a boy baby Bamber and keeping Bambi for a nn.

AuntieStella · 26/05/2019 07:02

The Disney Bambi is male

So Bamber with that as nn might work.

LazyLizzy · 26/05/2019 10:00

Granny Jeremy Bamber murdered his family, that's where the Bambi association comes from.

So Bamber nn Bambi would be even worse.
