I LOVE it, but it doesn't work in the UK. I also love Barbie but that doesn't work in UK either. So I guess my imaginary American twins are Bambi and Barbie.

I think people should always steer clear of names that conjure a particular type. Stripper associations aside, Bambi conjures a leggy gangly, doe-eyed ingenue. Your daughter may grow up to be a stolid, tiny-eyed tax accountant working for a big city firm. I can virtually guarantee she’ll have changed her name by deed poll and excommunicated you by then.
She will also hopefully only spend about 20% of her life as a child and very young adult, so don’t choose cutesy names that work for a toddler, choose a name that works for all ages and pick a nickname/ short version for infancy.

You can’t name a baby Bambi

Dont like it, sorry. My dd is threatening to call her 1st baby Simba whether its a boy or a girl. Thank god shes only 12 at the moment!

Too cutesy and not a name that could grow with a person. No-one is going to take a Bambi seriously as an adult.
