Identical twin girls names.

Hi all, I'm due to have identical twin girls at the end of August / beginning of September if they are born 36/37 weeks ! But we are aware they could arrive earlier and we would like to have names picked and chosen. We already have one daughter named Esmae Rose who is 18 months, and we are completely stuck on names for our two little ones who are on the way.

We like Isabelle, but that's it. We would also like to stick to flower middle names but we are struggling.

Any idea would be greatly appreciated !

TIA X

DP doesn't like Iris 🙄 I don't mind Iris, I think it's quite unique and pretty, my niece is named Amelia and neither of us love Matilda as it was my grandmas cats name 😂 x

These are fab suggestions ! Texting DP them as they come through ! Georgia is a no as it's his sisters name. I do like Gabriella ! Although I wouldn't want her to become just a Gabby.

@twinkletoedelephant definitely not doing matching names or names that rhyme, not to my taste ! But we thought flower middle names would be a nice fit with our first daughters names If we can find any that suit their first names ! X

The middle name thing doesn't make it matchy matchy as it's not just for them it's a running theme for all of your daughters. We have similar for our twin boys and their baby brothers middle names.

I'm glad you're not trying for twin names. I'd also not to dress them the same- it's important they have their own identities.

Regarding Gabriella, you can also shorten to Ella or Brie.

I like the idea of matching flower names across all your daughters and agree that it’s not the same as matchy-matchy twin names. (Although actually, middle names matching I think is fine - it gives them a nice link, without being used in daily life.)

Anyway - here are the ID twin girls that I know - might give you some ideas...

  • Eva & Amy
  • Eva & Orli
  • Jessica & Katie
  • Niamh & Aine
  • Hannah & Sophie
  • Thea & Faith
  • Gabriella & Lucia
  • Judith & Katherine (bit of a misnomer to call these two girls - I was at school with them so they’ll be in their 40s now!)
