Alice v Tabitha

Hi swistle-
we have the two finalists for our baby girl (who, by the way, kind of desperately needs a name...!!)
Which do you prefer:

Alice
Tabitha (Tabby)

and why?

Like both, but Tabitha gets my vote.

Tabitha is definitely a cat name for me. I also know a grown up one who hates her name so goes by her middle name instead.

I much prefer Alice, doesn’t seem to be that common where I am, neither of my children have one in their year groups (both primary).

Alice is a bit dull. Nice, but dull.

On the other hand, I love Tabitha and don’t get the “cat” connection. Should point out that I happened to name my boy another well known “cat” name and no one has ever mentioned cats or made cat jokes and he’s 4
