Please help!

I am looking for a unique and pretty girls name, I have a list but feel like none of my names are 'the one'

Below is my shortlist, please be honest about your favourites & least favourite on my list and please feel free to suggest any names!

Why is choosing a name soooo hard!!!

Myla
Paloma
Blair
Mya
Mia
Betsy
Dahlia
Nico
Penny
Romy
Aria
Valentina
Liberty

Thank you in advance! X

Bridie
Dulcie
Verity

Arlene
Saskia

Willowkoko · 20/05/2019 22:43

Honestly OP... none of these names are “unique” but there’s a high chance she will be the only one in the class with the name, if that’s the vibe you are going for.

Love most of them in particular Blair, Mya, Valentina and Aria. Would love to meet a little Penny.

Dislike Dahlia, imo i think the name is tarnished by the Black Dahlia murder case unfortunately, but not everyone will know that reference.

How do the names flow with your surname, I imagine some of these names will flow better than others.

taylorlynn · 20/05/2019 22:49

Awww I love all of your names! My favourites are Liberty, Blair and Romy

MyInnerAlto · 20/05/2019 22:49

Myla - no
Paloma - quite like this
Blair - no, no, no
Mya - no
Mia - not keen
Betsy - no, too cutesy. Fine if you give her Elizabeth as a birth cert name.
Dahlia - I like this
Nico - no (I get the reference but that is a bit try-hard)
Penny - like
Romy - no, not sure why this one has become so popular
Aria - I love music, see my username, but no
Valentina - OK
Liberty - I feel like I shouldn't like this but I do. Libby is a nice shortening.

jcq17 · 20/05/2019 22:52

maym · 20/05/2019 22:54

Of your short list, my favourites are Myla, Paloma and Romy.

I also like Pilar as mentioned by another poster. I think Luna is very pretty too.
How do your favourites fit with your surname? Are you considering a middle name? Important to consider the initials too Smile

maym · 20/05/2019 23:01

Last name is one syllable, we do want a middle name but haven't decided that yet! Trying to get our first name then going to try and fit the middle name according to the first name

Penny- absolutely gorgeous if short for Penelope

RockinHippy · 21/05/2019 09:48

Non are as unusual as you seem to want

I'd suggest

Rohey instead of Romy
Delia instead of Delilah

Sophronia · 21/05/2019 09:58

I like Paloma, Dahlia and Mya spelled Maia.

holdupthere · 21/05/2019 10:38

I love Paloma but I'm aware that as well as meaning dove it can mean pigeon which spoils it for me
