I'll begin by saying this is hypothetical. Not pregnant (yet) but going to start trying soon.

Last name is Hughes.

Girls:

Cleo Hughes
Camille Hughes

Boys:

Louis Hughes
Zachary Hughes

What do you think?

How about Chloe? Nicer than Cleo or Camille IMO.

I like Zachary (nn Zach) for a boy.

MarthasGinYard · 19/05/2019 08:58

Camille

Zachary

How refreshing, I actually like all the names Grin

Divgirl2 · 19/05/2019 09:00

Louis Hughes doesn't "flow" very well, unless you mean Lewis.

I prefer Camille to Cleo. Not a huge fan of Zachary (although it's more Zach I have an issue with).

MarthasGinYard · 19/05/2019 09:08

Agree

Sounds a bit

Huey Lewis and the News In reverse

80's apologies Grin

weebarra · 19/05/2019 09:09

Love them all, especially Cleo and Camille!

missmouse101 · 19/05/2019 09:12

Cleo and Zachary my favourites. Don't like the 'meel' sound in Camille and there are too many 'ooo' sounds in Louis Hughes.

Watersnail · 19/05/2019 09:23

Cleo Hughes - like
Camille Hughes - OK but Camille does remind me of camels. Prefer Camilla

Louis Hughes - reminds me of Huey, Dewey, and Louie, Donald Duck's nephews.
Zachary Hughes - very nice

pilates · 19/05/2019 09:28

Camille and Louis

chipsandgin · 19/05/2019 09:33

Cleo & Louis (I quite like the Hughes with Louis pronounced correctly!)

Calixtine · 19/05/2019 10:59

All lovely! My faves are Cleo and Louis.

IvanaPee · 19/05/2019 11:01

With Hughes I would say Camille (Camilla?) and Zachary.

CupOhTea · 19/05/2019 11:51

I like Cleo and Zachary best, but they're all quite nice.

DramaAlpaca · 19/05/2019 12:47

All nice names, but I wouldn't put Louis with the surname.

RoomInTheCity · 19/05/2019 13:02

Thanks all. I'm more set on the girls names than the boys names. I've always struggled with boys names but luckily I've had 2 girls so far. Suggestions for boys names welcome Smile

Like Cleo and Camille if said the French way.

Louis Hughes just doesn’t work.

Camille and Zachary

BlueMerchant · 19/05/2019 13:08

Camille and Zachary.
My favourite boys names are Isaac and Owen.

Croissantintheoven · 19/05/2019 13:58

They are all lovely names.

Croissantintheoven · 19/05/2019 14:01

Prefer Louis to Zachary and Camille is nice and very common here in France (I have a niece with this name). Some none French speakers mispronounce it by pronouncing the lls though instead of correct camee so that could be tricky.

spiderlight · 20/05/2019 14:50

Louis Hughes is a bit too reminiscent of Huey Lewis and the News. Not sure how relevant that would me these days though.

Astronica · 20/05/2019 16:01

I really like all 4 of your names. Much as I like Camille I think Cleo works a bit better with your surname. Same with boys - I like Louis but think Zachary sounds a bit better with surname. They are all perfectly usable though.

RoomInTheCity · 21/05/2019 09:41

Okay, thanks all. I've discounted Louis. I just don't love Zachary as much as I'd like to. Love Cleo though so I think we are set on that if I am lucky enough to fall pregnant soon. I just can't find any boys names that I love quite as much as I love some girls names.

spiderlight · 21/05/2019 10:35

If you love Cleo for a girl, what about Leo for a boy?

ChloePenny · 21/05/2019 10:40

Love love love Cleo. Don’t like Camille at all!

Huey Lewis and the News In reverse this made me laugh Grin glad you’ve discounted Louis OP!
Not keen on Zachary either. What about Isaac?
