Just found this name on a site that means God has answered/ray of light. I actually really like it and thought could nickname Elle/Ellie?

Would love all your thoughts as so helpful x

Please not another Ellie. I'm knee deep in them.

MeMyselfAndEyes · 16/05/2019 23:20

Love it, or another spelling variant - Ehlana.

Mac47 · 16/05/2019 23:25

I would suggest Lana as a nn rather than Ellie, which is dire.

DramaAlpaca · 16/05/2019 23:27

It's a pretty name. I wouldn't want it shortened to Elle or Ellie though. Far too many of them.

starzig · 16/05/2019 23:32

Love Eliana but would get the rage if it was my name and someone shortened it.

Wallywobbles · 16/05/2019 23:33

I know an Eliane. Nickname Ellie. Lovely old fashioned French name.

sweetkitty · 16/05/2019 23:37

Love it

NameChangedNoImagination · 16/05/2019 23:49

pretty but boring.

Kokeshi123 · 17/05/2019 00:53

It's OK but does sound like a variation on the million Elle's, Ellie's and Ella's.

flopsyandflim · 17/05/2019 00:58

I known an Ellia which I think is really pretty

SleightOfMind · 17/05/2019 01:06

My little cousin is called Eliana (Lia for short).
Her parents are French/Brit and Italian. They met in Spain.
It’s a beautiful name that works well with lots of different languages.
The Eliana in my daughter’s class has Russian/German parents and is Eli for short.
Lovely name, definitely on the list!
