Tamara? Diana?

Hi

what’s your thoughts on these names? What do you envision?

Are they too dated?

They're not horrible but they do feel quite 80s to me.

I like them both and don’t think either are 80s. I particularly like Diana. Tamara can have a couple of pronunciations, depending on whether you stress the first or second syllable.

Both hideous and vvv dated.

I LOVE them! I think that they're definitely going to come back into fashion soon.

Diana I think is fairly classic but the majority of people in the UK are going to think Princess Diana and so it puts it in the era of the 80s/90s.

Tamara says 90s Nickelodeon children's show to me.

They’re 60s or late 50s names to me. I know people called both and both were born then.

Princess Diana was born in 1961. So that fits the time period.

Growing up (in the '80s), the girls named Diana often got rude comments using the "die" part of the name. Personally, I'd avoid it. Tamara is nice.

I like both. I think Diane would be dated but not Diana, and Tamara has not been overused in the past, so both ok.
Diana will get called Di and Tamara Tam.

Tamara is horrible & Diana is not my style but quite nice
