Sister for Charlotte Sophia?

Hi,
DD1 is Charlotte Sophia. I like nice elegant classic sounding names. Me and Dh however don’t really agree or see eye to eye with names. I’m looking for something that works well or is similar to her name.
So far my husband and I can only agree on:

Hannah- but perhaps too dated?
Anna- but too formal?

Or maybe go a different direction and pick a different sort of classic...
Like :

Nina?
May?
Zara?

Should I go for a traditional name? Or more like modern classic...can’t really see what suits with Charlotte Sophia.

Thanks

Thanks for the suggestions. What are your thoughts on the names I suggested above? Or start from scratch?

Alexandra or Helena

You may as well keep names on your list until you have more of a sense of the direction you want to go in. But if you don’t like them enough, cross them off!

A few more ideas:

Beatrice, Katherine, Sasha, Zoe

I love Charlotte. I think both Anna and Hannah go beautifully with Charlotte, both classic. I love the nn Annie on a little one.

I don't feel like your other suggestions compare with Charlotte. They are all nice names but don't have that classic feel IMO. Zara reminds me of the shop, May is too short, Nina is OK.

Marlena1 · 08/05/2019 19:05

Love Nina and Zara but think Anna would probably go nicest with Charlotte

Starrynights86 · 08/05/2019 19:10

My two daughters are called Charlotte & Sophia (Isabella & Rose middle names).

DC3 is a boy, but some of the girls names we considered then were Annabelle, Annaliese, Alexandra, and my favourite, Mirabelle /Mirabella.

AnotherRubberDuck · 09/05/2019 22:32

How about Annastasia, clasic and elegant and you can have Anna for short.

Marv1nGay3 · 09/05/2019 22:35

My two daughters are called Charlotte & Sophia (Isabella & Rose middle names).*

Those names really go well together.
So in your family OP it could be Charlotte Sophia and Isabella Rose

I think Hannah, Anna, May and Zara would all be lovely with sister Charlotte. All of these are good, but my favourites are Anna and May. Anna is a timeless and elegant name, and May is beautiful and fresh (used a lot as a middle name but not much as a first). I'm not as keen on Nina as it's not as strong and traditional.

So while some lovely other names have been suggested I think you have 4 strong contenders already.

Whatwillhappentomorrow · 11/05/2019 06:22

I like all of your names above. I don't think Zara sounds that nice with Charlotte though.
