Miles, Niles or Giles?

I love Miles 😊 would of been on our list but our surname starts with an M, so had to be ruled out!

I love Giles! (Buffy fan) It was in the list for our DS.
Myles is ok but not keen on Niles.

Those who've never heard of Niles as a name never watched Frasier??

Niles and Giles from two of my favourite TV shows (Frasier and Buffy), but I prefer Miles to them both.

Love Niles or even Nile. Miles is ok. Giles is posh and wet territory.

Miles would be my favourite. I don't like Niles. I would definitely think 'Farmer Giles' but I do like it i also secretly fancy Giles Coren

But Giles in Buffy wasn’t called Giles! His name was Rupert!
Giles was his surname.

Two boys called Miles and Niall bullied my son so badly, we had to move schools so Miles and Niles would be out for me.

I quite like Giles but I can see I'm in the minority. :)

Miles Naismith Vorkosigan is one of my favourite fictional male heroes, so I'd probably go with Miles.

Good to see me kind of a mix of replies!
DH loves all 3. I don't like Miles or Niles which has somehow mutated into him thinking I love Giles. I do love buffy and once named an indoor tree Giles which I don't think is helping my case

I really like wolf or dolph tbh but I don't think I'm going to realistically inflict either of those on a real human

Another one we both love is Dante

Isn’t Nile a (more modern and accurate) anglicised form of Niall? Previously commonly anglicised to the godawful Neil?

Niles possibly an anglicised form of Nils, a Scandinavian name?

Giles is just dreadful.

Miles is a unit of measurement. Like Kilometres!

Niles is a little better but I prefer Giles.

I've just remembered Giles Coren so I have to change my preference to Niles.
