Hi - trying to think of name for boy 2, we have a Albert, my husband is keen for Wulfric or Wolfgang (we aren't German by the way!), trying to convince him to settle on Wilfred as a compromise...any thoughts or alternative suggestions?!

Wolfgang is very popular among 50 plus German men!

How about

Edward
Magnus
Reuben

Wilfred, Sidney, Walter, Frederick, Edgar

Agree Wilfred is lovely. The others are a bit too out there for a human but cool for a vampire

Wilfred goes very well, can be Will or Freddie. Great choice, Wolfgang is awful although Wolf is good!

We are trying to decide on brother for Albert and Florence (if baby #3 turns out blue!). And considering Wilfred or Woody (full name would be Edward). Let me know which way you decide!! It's tricky!!

Don't go too 'out there' He won't thank you for it in years to come.

I know an Albert and Oscar.

SallyWD · 08/05/2019 11:32

My grandad was Albert. His brothers were Arthur and Peter.

whitehalleve · 08/05/2019 11:41

Wilfred sounds like a great compromise Smile

JenSFP · 08/05/2019 12:46

@whitehalleve I agree Smile

Hah, OP, my son discovered I'd suggested Wilfric and DH had vetoed it and was gutted. he thinks it's the coolest name ever and plans to change his name (he says) to Wulfric once he leaves home.
On reflection though. I think it's way too try-hard and Wilfred is a gorgeous alternative.

Other names that go with Albert:
Stanley
Sidney
Godfrey
Theodore
Isaac (Izaak - old spelling)
Otto

woodcutbirds · 08/05/2019 12:54

Wulfric not Wilfric, I meant.

Annieandboys · 08/05/2019 13:44

I have a little Albert, we call him Bertie and his big brother is Frederick or Fred as we like to call him.
